 ALL THE GOOD THINGS....

Happy WOYWW Day to all you lovely Deskers, hope you've had a good week! It's been another few days of C madness and fabric overload....nah, what am I saying? There's never too much fabric, just not enough time lol!

My birthday present arrived, lots of spotty, a few pretty cottons and a few metres of fusible fleece - I was pretty low on just about everything so my vouchers came in very handy. I got 4m of the butterfly batik on the left and might make myself something.

Then I had just as much fun reordering the JanCave shelves - yes, I AM that sad *grin*

The top shelf display changes regularly as I like to put up things that friends have sent.

On the following day, more fabric arrived courtesy of a fellow market stallholder from Pembrey. It was 2 bin bags of unused premium furnishing fabric oddments from her neighbour whose wife had passed away.

These heaps were a metre high! I took out what I wanted, kept some aside for my SiL and the rest went to Wipso and Twiglet for their charity makes ( I did check with them first!!)

The gnomes are breeding:

Think they've been to the pub, done a bit too much quaffing and are now up for a fight....I daren't turn my back!

Yesterday, G and I decided to get out before the temps really ramped up so we took our breakfast down to the harbour and watched the very high tide come in (8.8m if you're interested!)

We had a stroll afterwards, it was a really nice thing to do for a change.

These little birds are Turnstones, normally to be found dibbling in the mud at the sea edge, they were taking shelter from the waves on the harbour wall. They really twittered and squabbled, like East Enders (or Pobol y Cwm as we're in Wales!)

It really was a lovely way to start the day!

Have a great week everyone and I hope the heat doesn't make you melt too much xx

Hi Jan, lovely the colection of new fabrics and the Gnomes are beautiful. The weather here continues to be very hot though yesterday wasn't quite as bad (you may guess that means I like it cool). Loving the clouds too they are very unusual. Happy creative woyww, Angela x8x

Luckily those gnomes are quite cheery in their holiday garb, or they might look a little scary - all lined up like they are stalking you. Don't turn your back LOL! Lovely load of fabric, and lovely looking breakfast as well. Warm days with cool and breezy nights seems the best combo to me for a British summer. I suspect we need some rain, but maybe only overnight, to make it near perfect. Well, without the surprise power cuts at 1 AM and servers needing to be rebooted... :D
Happy WOYWW!

Decorating your shelves is SO NOT sad at all. It is all part of the creative process making your space inviting and inspirational. I kinda need more room for all my stash - hmmm. Oh WOW those fabric piles are amazing. Oh the gnomes adore them as usual and all lined up - excellent. WOW that was a high tide indeed and a nice breakfast to go with it. Getting out early is a must for me in this 4th heatwave. I went for a walk early today but came back dripping (no it wasn't raining! LOL). Ah Pobol Y Cwm is that still going? remember it as a kid. What a super selfie of the pair of you - perfect. Hugs BJ#5

What a wonderful idea to take your breakfast to the harbour. I can think of somewhere we could take ours when we go to our second home but my tomatoes on toast might get soggy by the time we arrive and his cereal would have gone cold and he has to have it warm (men!). Incidentally, yours looks delicious. Glad you took some time out of your busy lives for yourselves.
Loving all the fabric you bought and were given. The butterfly one really appeals and I wonder what you will make for yourself with it?
Your gonk-omes are very festive all lined up, I do hope they don't get rough and start brawling. Maybe the cows will intervene and stop them.
Sending love and hugs

ps yes, Graham (selfie) is good fun and a good friend along with the whole family xx

Lovely fabric and such tidy shelves๐Ÿ™ƒ . I zoomed in on the cows - is there a story there? Also that tiny harbour scene, lovely! Still loving the reindeer at the end ๐Ÿ˜Š. An early beach walk sounds wonderful, it is rather warm at the moment. We are next to an oak tree and acorns keep falling onto the caravan roof, thankfully not often enough to keep us awake all night! Hugs Angela #12

Dear Jan!
First of all: I love your last photo on this week blog! You and Gordon so happy at the beach. Having breakfast there is one of my desires. Not possible in Austria....
From home to gnome! They are so sweet!
And you were busy by reordering the shelves. Great job!
I see a lot of very nice fabrics you got.
Wisch you a nice weekend. It's hot in Austria.

Hello Jan, I'm still drooling at the sight of your fabric stash! Gorgeous. I've spotted some seaside themed patterns that are just perfect for your projects. Although I'm too busy for sewing at the moment, I'm planning to put my machine to work again this winter. Adore the naughty gnomes. Your seaside breakfast looks like so much fun and that's a great photo of you both. The birds are new to me and the photo of that amazing sky is fabulous. Hugs, Elizabeth x #14

I've looked through all the fab materials and could imagine lots of new makes with it all....guess I'd best wait for Jo to see it all first. I love all your makes...and just know they will sell well.

You two are looking great, there! I love your gnomes but can just imagine them shouting ’Crivens!’ as they quaff more water of life! Your birthday and given fabrics look great. I often say you should make something for yourself but I get that the means to achieve your favourite hobby is your fave present. ๐Ÿ’.
Happy WOYWW
