WOYWW 499

TAKE TIME TO THANK, TO SHARE, TO LOVE....

Happy Christmas to you all, lovely WOYWWers and others who read but don't comment - thanks for stopping by this blog each week and reading my nonsense. It's week 499 of WOYWW! Congrats to Julia on a momentous 500th bloggyversary next week.

There is very little to share this week:
Yesterday morning before the unwrapping started! I did make those two stockings though as both boys are home, I had great fun using up some spare fleecy fabric - all the daft little knick knack presents went in them and I think the boys liked them!

Those who are in the know are aware that I'm a huge Terry Pratchett fan - you can see a lot of his books on the bookshelves there - well, one of my presents was:

I'm a jigsaw fan too!

But this, I think, is going to take some time!!  Ah well, it'll keep me quiet (maybe that's why Gordon got it for me, lol!!)

And I shall leave you with one of the prezzies I got from Julia:

Love it!! That's going up on the JanCave wall straightaway :-D

And so, to all my dear digital/analogue friends, may I wish you a happy, healthy and fun-filled 2019. Here's to another year of desky shenanigans and wonderful friendship.

Great quote Jan and I love the jigsaw. Both boys who were at home this year got their knick-knacks in bags this year as I couldn't find their stockings. I had one of the Disc World books signed by Terry Pratchett as a Christmas present from my sister many years ago and also have many of the novels in hard back. Happy New Year and Happy WOYWW. Happy Christmas Jan, and I am pleased to be home and able to see the picture properly (a phone is great for being able to keep in touch but a big pc screen is better to see what you're looking at!!) As you know I'm a big TP fan too and that puzzle looks fabulous. Good luck... the tree and those stockings are beautiful - I was only saying to my brother I miss having a stocking (I know of someone who did one for themselves and Richard said I ought to give a friend some money and a few ideas and let them do it so there is still an element of surprise! might do that next year ) Enjoy the rest of the holidays - love the quote from Julia. Nowt wrong in being bonkers. Helen #6

Love your tree!
I don't have room under our tree for pressies, it's filled with houses etc!
What a great quote (one I totally agree with).
Have a great New Year

Hi Jan, the jigsaw looks great, that would definitely keep me quiet for a long time. Hope you are having a wonderful Christmas with your family, the stockings are great - I forgot to put ours out this year- for the grandchildren. Oops bad grandma! Love the quote from Julia, definitely a prerequisite for a good friend - to be absolutely bonkers! What other kind of friend could anyone possibly want? Thanks for stopping by earlier, and your kind words on my first quilt. Have a lovely week Heather x #14

Brilliant Jan cave addition Lunch Lady Jan! Had huge chuckle at that, need one for my friend! Should make her one.
And love the two big socks too, they’re really wonderful! Somethings think the simplest loving pressies are the best and rather think they were! Nice to have both boys home, and glad the card etc made it safely. 😊
Prayer hugs, and every blessing for 2019, Shaz in Oz.x #5

Love the quote from Julia - what a great picture to have up in your cave Jan.
The jigsaw, well what can I say - I love it but I would never get it done here. It looks awfully busy and difficult. I tend to be an internet jigsawer (not too many pieces) but did buy a real one this year with a felt mat so we can roll it and it not live on the table for 6 months. Not started yet but it will, one day.
Sorry I am so late but have thought about you and the WOYWW'ers often over the Christmas period. It's like being part of a big family meeting up on a Wednesday.
Take care, have a wonderful 2019 and glad you had a lovely Christmas with your boys.
Hugs, Neet xx

What a lovely tree, I fully agree with the saying. My late husband and son loved Terry Pratchett, couldn't get a word out of them when they were reading his books. Wishing you a great 2019. Ani #3
