 WOOHOO WITCHY WOMAN

SHE GOT THE MOON IN HER EYE.

It has been a week of two halves, sunny and hot up til Sunday then lots of rain since then (which the garden needed so I'm not complaining)

Thank you Wipso and Twiglet for the beautiful ATCs that arrived, I just adore all the colours and details, you’re so talented!

I've been making up for lost time since I got the JanCave back and have made a batch of cross body bags, totes and zippy bags of all sizes. And they've all been chucked on the bed as I've finished them!

They all need pricing up as I've got a craft fair on Saturday and need to get my act in order. I'm getting my own card reader courtesy of the RNLI which is awesome, the monies taken will go straight into the local fundraising group account so I don't have to bother.

The muted fabric bag turned out really well, I was pleased with the toning zip colour and the little bronze heart zip pulls also added to the overall effect.

I've done a few of the Welsh flag bags too, some for the craft stall, some for an order (thanks Lynne!)

This is a new design I found from a YouTube tutorial, enough for a phone, tissues, doggy bags etc etc. It's quick to make but is like fabric origami towards the end which is great if your fabric is non-directional but a headache if it's not!

Hence the amateur way of working it out on paper after I got it wrong first time!!

Here's a pic from my holiday that I'd forgotten about, it was part of the Cardigan Weavers' Exhibition at the Woollen Mill:

Unfortunately I managed to cut the third crafter off on the right but it was called The Crafting Witches and it made me smile - I'm sure quite a few of us could recognise ourselves there!!

Have a great week xxxx

I adore those crafting witches! The bags are looking very smart but I’m sorry they’re an origami headache to put together. If my first chicken works out well, I’m thinking of sending it to a cousinette who lost her partner, father, granddad and grandma in too short a time. If not, I’ll keep it for me and learn from my mistakes for the next one. I’ve loads of yarn as the Jewelspun comes in 200g balls. I may get addicted to making them!
Happy WOYWW

How fabulous are those crafting witches. Some talented folks about, wish I could do something like that myself.
Well you have been busy. Love the fabric origami and the bags are gorgeous. As you say the zip works with that fabric.
Hope you are feeling well.

My husband decided today was the best day of a poor forecast, to get the awning down! He was half way through when it poured! It’s packed away and the weather is lovely now so he gone off with the dogs. Good luck with your upcoming craft fair. Happy WOYWW. Angela #9

Here’s the other little witch checking in. I’ve not blogged today because I’ve been ploughed under prom dresses….loads of them and I’ve more to come yet. I love your bags Jan…you add lots of special bits and I love them. I won’t be making any time soon lol

Oh my those ATCs have got me going especially as I'm in fabric mode this week. Adore all your bags and hope the craft fair went well especially with the new card reader - how cool is that! Know what you meant about needing a paper pattern aid sometimes I got into a few pickles this past week! The felted scene is adorable. Yes having the sewing machine out on a separate "permanent" table was brilliant for Making Zen. I was pretty busy, hence my late reply. Hugs BJ#5

Hello Jan, the ATCs from Annie & Jo are uniquely beautiful pieces of work. And your bags are no less beautiful. The muted fabric is lovely. I'm a sucker for anything with dandelions on it. The three witches had me spinning back to my schooldays and the year I studied Macbeth. That has to be one of the best opening scenes of any of Shakespeare's plays. Hope you've had a fabulous weekend. Hugs, Elizabeth x #14

The week got away from me but Happy (so late) WOYWW! Love the muted bag - that fabric is so pretty. I always think of you when I see sewing shorts titled "took 10 minutes and I made 50 in a day - sold them all!' except with loads of misspellings LOL! The spinning witches are cute - what magic are they cooking up?
