ON WITH THE SHOW, GOOD HEALTH TO YOU!

I've done that classic desker thing and forgotten to take any pics of work in progress, doh! So it's quick run through what I've been sorting for the Harbour Lights tearooms restock and sorting out for future craft fairs.

I was having a quick look see for my next sewing project and debating which of the spotty fabrics to use as lining/handles for this lovely old rose print. I think there's four I could use quite happily so I might make one of each.

The RNLI shop manager messaged me saying the shop fittings were being renewed and did I want the old display boxes for my craft stall. Ooh yes please said I, not really knowing if they'd be ok for my needs.

Well, I'm properly pleased with them! I had to make little black pillows for the key rings/wrist straps to rest on but it's great cos I just plonk them on the stall and they look fab!

I'm down at the harbour cafe this morning, having a coffee and a restock so got a few things ready:

A little bit of everything! I know things are running low so hopefully this'll keep them going for a few weeks.

Yesterday G and I went to Carmarthen and I wasn't going to step foot in the glorious wool shop in the market, I really wasn't.....

But I got lured in by the colours, it's a little piece of heaven in there and the young lady owner is so lovely and helpful. The eagle eyed among you might spot the sneaky G taking this pic of me!

And can you blame me for being mesmerised?

A proper yarny pick and mix - delicious and calorie free!!

I'm away for a couple of days next week so may not be joining in but I'll definitely be here for the following week, can't miss the Big 800!!

I wouldn't be able to resist either, the colours arranged like that are good for eyes and soul...it was a display of paper and envelopes in colours order that made me want to paper crafting. Ironic considering the lack of order in my storage! I love the pic of you, gazing at the colours, sums up how colour can affect us so positively if you ask me! I love the old rose fabric, isn't it pretty. 🤩 hope you have a good couple of days away, catch up again soon.xx

OMG that yarn wall!! I am pulled deep into knitting recently, and am finding it hard to come up for air. I owe some bears to TGoW, but life has been crazy (as usual) so trying to get a couple more done before I mail. SCORE! Those display units look fab - what a result. And no worries on the process shot - we all just love to see the lush fabric, made up or not!
Quick scoot round before knitting WOYWW!

Yes I saw G, taking your picture! It looks like a good wool shop. Did you buy any?
I like the green with that lovely old Rose fabric. Your display boxes are great and will make setting up on your stall so quick. I think they’ll invite people to have a rummage. There’s a thought. You could have a fixed price rummage box. People like a good rummage. What do you think?
Take care and happy WOYWW

I love that photo of you Jan, I can feel the pull of the yarn - it screams 'buy me' when it's arranged like that. In our old wool shop all the colours were mixed up and sorted by type of yarn and I reckon I spent a fraction of what I would have done because of that! I love your floral fabrics, and you are doing a great job for your tearooms - what a huge amount of work has gone into it all.
Hope you have a lovely few days away,
Hugs, Diana xx #13

I get mesmerised when looking at wool like that. I'm surprised you managed to walk away from all those goodies. Your spotty fabrics are lovely, I like papers like that too. When someone offers you something for free you have to say yes and then decide what to do with them later Lol! Well they look brilliant. Take care and have a lovely woyww and a great time away, Angela x6x

Well I don't knit or crochet but I'd still be pulled in by those colours! No wonder you couldn't resist. I do like your recycled shop fittings!! What a great idea for small items that end up randomly displayed and taking up too much space! . Might have to have a little look on t'internet!! Have a great week, love n hugs Cindyxx #11

I'm with Cindy above, I'd still get pulled in with that fab display. There's something about colour that gets to us isn't there. Life would be so dull wouldn't it without colour.
Love the photo of you gazing longingly at the display.
Those peg bags look fabulous as does everything else that is packed in there. Talking of packing, what a wonderful offer those clear boxes were. Bet you end up searching for more as I am sure they will prove well worth a bit of expense. The key ring/wrist straps look ever so good displayed like this and so much better than on a hook where you find the one you want is at the back and you have to remove x number to get to it - and then put them all back.
Enjoy your few days away - nothing better for the soul than getting a few days away now and then (I am away at the moment but don't tell)
Hugs, Neet 3 xx

Ah yes, the lure of the rainbow! Great display solutions there and I'm sure it will help sell even more of your lovely wares. I think the magenta pink with the flowers would be my fave. Thank you for your lovey words on my blog - I do try and raise a smile but this week I didn't feel I hit the mark so your words were even more special! Have a sunny week, Lisa-Jane #10
