A LITTLE BIT OF THIS, A LITTLE BIT OF THAT....

Lots of crafting to share this week! It started off well when we made £100 on the craft fair last Wednesday - thanks to Annie (Wipso) and Debbie Rock for their contributions. The RNLI girls are doing another stall at the town carnival this Saturday, unfortunately I can't help as I'm elsewhere playing with my band. Let's hope we raise some more

This is going a way towards the total too:

Yet more specs cases and little purses as the Harbour Lights sold all the previous stock!  This is the last of the Sausage Dog fabric, I've got a lot of things made from the original metre. I thought this would be the last five cases but my mate Helen pointed me to an Ebay site selling it - woohoo!

With an appropriate lining!

And others in the fabric I bought in Shrewsbury while up for the Crop. I'm very pleased to tell you that the current total raised for the RNLI is £140. Not bad eh?

I was going to cut out some more bunting (am making metres of the stuff for a WI Barn Dance in September) and found this remnant of a tablecloth I got from a charity shop:

And decided that it was just too nice to use for its intended purpose...

So I made a tote bag as a shed warming present for Mary, a friend! It's a very high end shed, got wallpaper and everything but it's at the top of a very steep garden. I thought she could put things in the bag to carry up the 45 degree slope!

The climb is worth it though, this is her view:

Looking over the town and harbour to the Gower peninsula. Good eh?

Hope you have a marvellous week, whether it involves crafting or not!! xxxxxxxx

You really are amazing, beautiful makes, made with love all to benefit the needs of others. Even during the heat you just keep on giving Jan. I just love that sausage dog fabric!!!
What a great bag for Mary as she strides to her "She Shed" at a 45 degree angle well worth it for those sights, I'd make sure I packed a bottle of wine for after the workout.

You’ve been a busy bee with more to come by the sounds of it.
Lovely shot of the peninsula, it’s making me crave a trip to the coast.
We are off to Ruthin at weekend so I’m sure I’ll find time to stop off somewhere for a fix

Well done on the fund raising Jan. I love the tablecloth fabric bag - so much gorgeous fabric goes to waste these days - it's great when you spot a bargain isn't it. Lovely views down your way! xx Jo

£140 is not to be sniffed at, you’re amazing. Glasses cases are so useful, yesterday, my sweet 4th cousin 3 times removed (aged 13) admired the one you made that matches my tote bag and thought it was a very cool phone case. I hadn’t thought of that, but actually, it would be a great use for it if I didn’t have a pair of readers in every bag I own! I have a great Aunt Helen who not only is a Gower girl, but lives in Enford. Can you tell I went to a famalam do!!! Mary’s view is amazing...worth the climb and the work but oh, all the work. Hope your enjoying the less muggy sunny days.xxxxx

That striped fabric was a tablecloth? Much better as the bag that you have made for your friend and her beautiful view.
Jan you are such a lovely person who keeps giving and giving. Wonderful that you have contributed so much to the RNLI with your beautiful makes. You even go that extra mile by searching out fabric that will make things you know will sell. What a woman!

Oh! What joy to see your creations! I uncovered my sewing machine but still need to find the time to use it .....
That view...... words fail me, all I can see, apart from the bloke opposite clearing up the dog poo in his back garden, are houses and .... wait for it ..... blue sky!!
Have a good week and enjoy the concert.

I'm loving all the beautiful fabrics but especially the pink polka dot! What a view your friend has from her shed! I would do the 45 degree angle to get to look at that each day! Happy WOYWW!

Happy whizz day. I'm rather later starting my visits this week because I've been head down bear making all morning plus have just had to shorten an urgently required pair of trousers too...it's all go here lol.
Wahooooo it's fab knowing how much money you raise Jan [and I helped a little too]. keep up the good work.

Hi Jan, I always enjoy seeing your gorgeous fabrics, love the patterns and the bag is lovely. Well done at the Craft Fair too. I actually think people are starting to appreciate handmade products again but then maybe it's more because you are so skilled at making them. Hope you're having a lovely woyww and many thanks for the lovely comment over at mine, Angela x13x

Hi Ja, am way behind again, my name is the late Shaz! Being almost a half day ahead has its advantaged disadvantages too.
Just read post below, we’ve had dolphins in 3 feet of water in our harbour one day when walking on jetty, used to seeing stingrays etc but dolphins are a first.
Also have seen whales often from headland going north or south according to weather too. Love the sausage dog fabric brilliant find there.
Thanks for being a blessing, God bless you too.

Hi Jan, I think if I had that view, I'd be permanently living in the shed! As usual you have made some gorgeous products from gorgeous fabrics. Well done on the craft fair, and a big pat on the back at raising so much for RNLI. I'm keeping a running total on how much I raise at work for charity with my cards - makes it all seem a bit more worthwhile when I know so many different charities are benefiting. Have a lovely week, Heather xx #26
