ON THE SECOND WEEK OF CHRISTMAS
MY CRAFTING WENT LIKE THIS......

(Many people asked if I was going to carry on the carol so it seemed a shame not to!)

On the sixth day of Christmas:
Pretty snow cones made by my WI buddy Gisela

On the seventh day of Christmas:
There HAD been seven biscuits on the plate at the WI craft club but two have been eaten by the girls!!

On the eighth day....
Two eight inch strips of red dotty fabric. But what am I making?? You'd never guess in a million years! All will be revealed later :-D

On the 9th day.....
A little forest of trees in our dining room (I'm counting the white ones as a unit so I can cheat the numbers, lol!!)

On the tenth of Christmas:
I made a couple of these tags in the WI group and put them onto cardstock - I enjoyed it so much I made some more and there's 10 of them - convenient huh?! Julia had donated some card blanks to me and I've used up a few.

On the 11th day of Christmas, up in the cave of Jan:
11 things necessary to make some bunting (the flags are counted as one unit of stash)

ON THE 12TH DAY OF CHRISTMAS MY TRUE LOVE GAVE TO MEEEEEEEEEEEEE:
12 baubles on the wreath I made which is now gracing the front door!

And a son helping with the jigsaw-aw-aw-aw:

Owen popped home for the weekend as it was G's birthday - so good to see him!

Now then, you've forgotten about those red 8" strips, haven't you? Well, they became:

*DRUM ROLL*

An eye patch for a dog!!

Poor little Seren (Welsh for Star) had to have an eye removed because of glaucoma and while the wound has healed, her mum and dad (who are in band with me) asked if I could help. D'awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

Back to a normal post next week! Well, as normal as it can be.......... ;-)

Love that wreath so simple but sophisticated. The dog patch had to laugh but practical. Doggy things go down a bomb here as everyone has a rescue dog. That's why I wanted to complete the doggy advent calendars but time failed me. Ani

P.S I'm thinking the photograph with the missing biscuits could have been used for all days of Christmas, decreasing in numbers over the days! Now wouldn't that be delicious :D xx

Aaw, Bless Seren, but she is so stylish now thanks to Aunty Jan who made her the eye patch. Well done you for thinking of that.
Well done too for the twelve days of Christmas variation - clever you! So nice to see you in such festive spirits, could do with some here.
Need to get back in my craftroom but cannot see it happening this side of New Year. Have to first get the house back to some normality.
Lovely photo of the two of you - how wonderful to have him home to celebrate with you two.
Hugs, Neet 6 xx

Ok, I was going to comment on all your wonderful makes, but then the doggie came around and stole the entire show - apart from the fact that the poor thing has lost an eye (awww) - she absolutely rocks that pirate patch! And what a cute photo of you and your son together! I wonder if there were other people singing their way through your blog post! It didn't always work but then again I can't sing for toffees! And now I can't get the tune out of my head! Have a lovely week, Jan! zsuzsa #14 xx

I loved the counting and photos but the doggie stole the show, with that lovely eye patch! You did a marvelous job. I wish my son could come over to help me with the jigsaw.. not that I cannot do it on my own (my beloved hates puzzles and is a disaster finding pieces) but I would love to see my son, it's been a while... Thanks for stopping by my blog today, have a great week. Love, Marit #16

Oh Jan, the pic of the doggie with the eye patch is just adorable... what an absolutely sweet idea! What a lot of lovely things you've been making too, and I love the pic of you with your son and the jigsaw - what a great shot!

Thank you for your visit and I'm glad you share my love of all things peacock! I thought that tree was just beautiful. Our friend loved her pressie and had a good laugh over it too! The name thing has become a standing joke between us.

Hi Jan, great post. Loving the doggy pic, he must be liking it, I think my two would be pushing it off. They run a mile when they see any type of clothing. Maisie goes rigid at the thought of it Lol! Your pic with Owen is lovely and well done at completing the jigsaw. Have a lovely woyww and happy crafting, Angela x15x

I am delighted that you continued the 12 Days of Christmas - so much fun seeing what you come up with! And the eye patch is adorable! So nice that you got to see your son too!
Regarding Mittsy and the tree, we have never had a cat that climbed our Christmas tree, at the most they played with the ornaments along the bottom, which is why I only put unbreakable ornaments on the bottom! (although one insisted on peeing under it, which is why we now have an artificial tree!) But Inky has never played with the ornaments or climbed the tree, but does enjoy sleeping under it. Mittsy has now taken that sleeping spot, I'm hoping at some point they will share! She also has ignored the ornaments! Thanks for your visit, have a wonderful week! Lindart #20
