WOYWW 364 - The 7th Anniversary

ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE, LOVE,
LOVE IS ALL YOU NEED.....
(c. Lennon and McCartney)

Welcome to all you lovely deskers who, week in and week out, turn up to share friendship, ideas and lunacy!! What started out as a mad idea by our beloved Queen Julia has stood the test of time - many higher profile blogs have come and gone, but WOYWW carries on  and it's all down to you :-)  The support that comes over the Interwebs is simply amazing, my life has been enriched by being part of this group and meeting deskers in real life has been wonderful too. Long may it continue, say I.

So, Happy 7th to you all!  If you are swapping Anniversary ATCS, please remember to put an asterisk after your name in the linky. You will send your ATC to the next person with a star by their name - some people may choose not to join in, in which case, leapfrog over them to the next starred name - I will try and help on the day as much as I can if confusion reigns :-D

Today's desk - what it's all about, after all.......
I've been using up stash to make a little something for a giveaway - too much is going on this week with the ATCs, so I'll offer it next week. The squares are leftovers from a charm pack from which I've made a couple of small quilts in the past year.

I rather like the grey and sandy colours together, an unexpectedly good combo, all will be revealed next week :-D

And in keeping with the general theme of friendship, this is my ATC design (Julia let me run amok in her craftroom, mwahahaha...)
Not the fanciest, but I enjoyed making them!  The eagle eyed amongst you will have spotted the new header too...... Nikki C has made some new badges for your sidebars, I think you can get the link over at Julia's Stamping Ground.

EDIT****  Apparently some are having problems linking up. When you paste your URL code under your name, make sure it is tight up against the LH side of the box as Mr Linky seems to be inserting a single space which means the link won't work. Heads up to Nikki C for the advice! I just linked Julia's blog for her and didn't have an issue ****

Right then, here's the linky and remember to put an asterisk after your name if you want to join in the swap!

Prayers for her quick recovery. I've sent your ATC with the package I mailed off to her, so in time it should get to you. Your ATC is lovely..I need to do more stamping, would be easier to mail. Thanks for the inspiration.

Fabulous desk. Do you know you've helped me decide the colours for my living room. Your beautiful grey and yellow fabrics have given me the combos! I chose a light soft grey but wanted a strong . So I'm choosing yellow! Lol Thank you lovely lady not only for your inspiration but for your friendship over these years. You guys mean I'm not as isolated as I would be if I didn't have you all there. Take care Zo xx

Darn, I messed up my linky twice (#42 and #43) - the correct link with the asterisk is #44. So sorry Jan! I'm not sure if it's worth removing because then people behind me might find their numbers all changed. Banging my head against the wall here as I write this! Stupid, stupid me! Lovely ATC - how kind of Julia to let you use her stuff and how wonderful that you ventured into paper crafting! Luckily for me, the assignment wasn't to crochet something, LOL! I would have been stumped! Happy anniversary! :)

Very nice ATC. I love your patchwork too. The colours go together nicely though they aren't ones I would usually pick to go together. Thanks again for hosting!

Hey Jan! Thank you for covering things while our dear Julia takes the time she needs. I've gotten Soshi's link to work. My ATCs should be ready by week's end for mailing. I love how you always have fabric something or other going on. I got the itch last week to sew as I sorted through my quilt kits and reorganized their storage. I will be playing with them in time. Hiya Jan, I managed to link ok, although I admit I did it almost as sooon as you'd put the post up, on my tablet. I woke up and did it before I had another snooze, lol, as Virgin had picked today to do some work on out Internet, so it's been broken most of the day. I think it's only been back up for about half an hour. Love your new header! Been and got my badge. :) Good ol' Nikki! I agree, my lovely friend, without Julia's brilliant WOYWW, we'd never have met you and your lovely family, and that thought is so sad. We treasure our friendship so much. All the deskers I've met, either for real or in our special little virtual world, have been the most caring, supportive and loving friends anyone could wish for.
As for your quilting, don't those colours go well together, Very calming and restful, that mix. Your ATC, and Julia's are on their way later, when Hubby takes me to the post office, lol. Huge hugs and lots of love, Shaz xxxx

Happy anniversary soul sister!! I think I'm properly linked up. Thank you so much for again hosting the desker party. So last week you were talking about your organizing and planners--and I see you are very busy again today, and I love that fabric! Anyhoo, I've been thinking about what you would enjoy having. I'm wondering if you would enjoy a Midori? Inside you could fit four to six booklets with your planners (which are usually six months at a time per booklet, so I always have two for a year's worth) and then you could have other booklets dedicated to what you need. I have a whole booklet that is nothing but lists. I ordered a new planner yesterday for my Midori from Yellow Paper House on Etsy, and she even has gorgeous colored paper choices for the planners. I wanted a blank one so I can create my 2017 planner, and I ordered the aqua. She even has coloring books for your Midori, so no matter where you go, you'll have a coloring book with you! The Foxy Fix on Etsy has great Midori books, for the book itself. Or, I could send you one I made! I think another option you would enjoy though is a Filofax. The notebooks are beautiful and come in so many colors, and you snap things in and out of your planner very easily. We will turn you into a planner girl yet! Hugs dearest!! Sandy Leigh #58

Well Jan I just HAD to share with you that I made a commitment to myself today to pop into every single WOYWW #364 linked blog post, read it and leave a comment because that just seemed like the right thing to do when so many people (including me) made this a priority in their lives today. Well I was up at 6:00am to snap my photos and link my blog post and I was STILL #58(grin) and I started my blog reading at 3:00 pm today and with a brief break for dinner (which Hubby made for me - even settng the table?!) I have finally finished leaving my LAST comment right now at 10:25pm... Happy to Be a part of this Community! Lynne Mizera PS: I have an ATC for YOU... I have your address and will send you an ATC ASAP! Oh you can't imagine how grateful I am that we met. Both you and Julia are such lovely ladies!! When Julia gets over this hurdle - I refuse to call it anything else you two must come to see me in Kent! And I will give you a really BIG hug!!!
Lots of hugs and love

Just checked and I hadn't commented. Wrist and legs duly smacked.
To be honest Jan, I was at my friends and we had spent all day journalling (two days actually) and that plus late nights and early mornings made my old brain more 'befuddled' than usual. I got in a right old muddle and sent emails out about swapping to the wrong people. I gave up in the end and decided to wait until i got home.
Did I send you an atc? I need to know as I did count you and Julia in my list.
Here's to another year of WOYWW friendships, even with old folks who mess up now and then like me.
Hugs, Neet 28 xx

However, I have promised myself to get round all the desks this week to celebrate our 7 years of WOYWW friendship - and all because of Julia.
