 YOU GOTTA HAVE FRIENDS...

It's been a funny old week full of plans being cancelled, crazy weather and things not turning out quite as planned! I'd finished off a tranche of items for the cafe and thought I'd have a good sort out afterwards.

Some fabrics were piled up to go to the Cancer Research shop in Carmarthen where they're happy to take craft stuff as a lot of students go in. I'm cutting up strips of the fabrics I want to keep for the next strip quilt.

I'm sorting into piles on my ironing board which means I can't do any ironing...aww shucks... My cork board has a new addition:

A prezzie from my gorgeous friend Kim, I love it!! I look at it (and the wooden sign Neet gave me) and get the warm fuzzies. Thanks girls!!

The sorting continued after my card making last week - I'd found some that I started last year and they didn't get sent because of the postal strikes.

I didn't think I'd be doing C cards so early but there you go, it's tidied up a box and I'm a little bit prepared...wonders will never cease!

And I finished the 90th knitted square last night ready for making up into a throw, possibly for my son's room:

A nice range of colours - now I'll have to sew them up instead of sending them! Greater love hath no mother etc etc......

Hope you're have a good week and are enjoying your crafting, see you on the desks later!

Djeez... you did all that in a week? Such energy! And I just can't get used to seeing Christmas stuff in September... oh well, a crafter needs to start on time, I know I know (but I usually start in December... and when I start, I always wonder why I didn't start earlier, ha!)Big hug from the Netherlands, Marit #17

Some of that fabric looks really colorful. What a fun addition to your wall. It's a beauty.

Ironing? What is that (grin)? The piles look wonderful and also colorful.

Oh my. I haven't even thought of Halloween, much less Christmas. You are really ahead of the game this year, Jan. Lovely knitting, too. A woman of SO many talents. Happy WOYWW from # 3.

Love the use of the ironing board, much better than ironing things.
Love your new sign, was surprised you still have the one I sent you up there.
Now what is this? Are we turning you into a card maker after all I Bet you are ahead of more than me with the "C" Cards. Good for you, now what about those lovely cards we saw last week? Hope you put them to good use as well.
Hugs to you and yours

Well done with 90 squares, all that work and still the hard part left! Apparently there is an increase in postage in October I wonder if it’s too early to post Christmas cards 🤣🤣. I am amazed you have left over fabric the ways you use it all. Love the new sign. Happy WOYWW. Angela #2

Hi Jan, it was so lovely to see your comment on my post! Yes, time certain flies! I'm also always amazed at how quickly other people's children/pets grow up - but somehow I don't notice the same thing with my own kid (or cat!) LOL! Love, love, love your cork board! I also had a board installed but it's magnetic - I had a choice between cork or metal - and now I'm thinking I may have made the wrong choice as it's not being utilised the way I had originally planned! Partly because I haven't made the magnets I was planning to use it with. I guess both has advantages and drawbacks like everything else - maybe it's best to have both, then you don't lose out LOL! Anyway, that's always my solution to a dilemma! Lovely idea to make a blanket for your son. I'm planning to make a quilt for mine too - but it's a long-term project! I'm very well, thank you (apart from my imaginary illnesses LOL) - hope you're well too! Sending you hugs! xx zsuzsa #22

Love seeing all your creations, but the knit really sparks me. I wish you great fun arranging and piecing those lovely squares!

I just finished a pieced, wool crochet couch throw last night (with the exception of a couple ends to sew in, and some steam blocking), and now have sock making to look forward to as the weather turns cooler.
