IT'S GOOD TO TOUCH THE GREEN GREEN GRASS

 OF HOME

What an odd week it's been weather wise - hot and humid one minute, then absolutely tipping it down another. The green green grass has definitely been having a growth spurt, lol!

O returned home last Friday so I have the JanCave back (for those who are interested, I won the Cribbage tournament with a lead of four but O was the Yahtzee King!)

There has been a lot of sewing going on:

I loved that jungle fabric so much I got some more and a friend asked for a peg bag in her favourite colours. I had half a metre leftover from that so she's getting a folding shopper, purse and glasses case as a little surprise.

Here's a Welsh table for you - daffs and dragons! Christine ordered a bag so I cut out loads of stuff whilst I was there.

I could go many ways with the lining but in the end decided on using up both greens, two sets of everything from each colour.

Both greens appear in the leaves behind the daffs so they tone well.

I may have bought some fabric, it was in the sale - what more can I say?!

Back to softer colours after the riotous recent ones I've been doing. I know the one on the left could be considered slightly old fashioned but I really love it! The other two will go well, I know that. Incidentally I asked the RNLI collection box lady if she could give me the stats since I started doing my fundraising and it was a rather surprising £4,580! How pleasing is that? Laura from the cafe and I want to see if we can crack the £5k by Christmas!!

I have been doing other things - after having a painty session, I thought I'd turn some pictures into cards:

Nothing startling but better than being stuck in a drawer!!

Hope you've had a wonderful week and enjoying your crafting, see you on the desks xx

What a fabulous array of colours and patterns and projects. Well done indeed on the fundraising - that's a great total and good luck getting to your target - I bet you do it.
the cards look great too, and will be handy to have for an emergency event! Happy WOYWW Helen #1

Oh had some fun looking back on what I missed...YOU have done so well with your flowers... Just gorgeous cards. And I always marvel at you fabric. WOW the fun patterns and colors amaze me...We only have JoAnn Fabric/Hobby Lobby/Walmart for shopping of fabric. Some small towns have QUILTING fabric and it is spendy. I so wish you were close by to help me learn this unused Computerized Sewing machine I have. it embroideries and things I've no clue about. Have a great weekend, much needed rain forecast for 4 days. BUT...it is very much needed.

I love your cards. Wonder if they would sell at the RNLI? You could try them.
Although the Jungle print is lovely and so eye catching the blue peg bag caught my eye. I just wish I was in the market for one but I never peg out these days (bad back). That blue with the blue liner looks lovely.
The daffodil fabric is gorgeous! Should do well in the Welsh RNLI shop and also do well in springtime.
And so to the final thing - WELL DONE YOU. What a fund raiser you are. Pity I put my money into Morecambe RNLI - I could have swelled it by a bit for you.
Hugs, to a Wonderful Lady

You are so modest, I love your 'painty' cards, they too would sell well I reckon if you bagged em up and included them in your cafe stash. You have a fab touch with watercolour. If I ever see you again, I may ask for a lesson. I expect O has gone home to earn more holiday so that he can come home and keep challenging that Cribbage result! I've never played, and also at the moment, can honestly not remember if Yahtzee is numbers or letters. Man, it's serious. Loving the new fabrics, the blue and white is almost like a William a morris and I really like it. Have to say that since Jen was sewing and choosing fabrics etc, I've got the idea to do something too, but have so much on at the moment that it would be ludicrous, but just visiting the shop and handling all the fabrics was a delight!!

Gorgeous paintings, love them, and really special cards now too. Yes the greens look great with the daffs, and always a colour fest on your desk, a feast for the eyes. Dare I mention the new speed limit in Wales??? I've been quietly chuckling to myself with respect to my estranged mother and her sports car who has already done a speed awareness course due to a 30mph issue outside her house, oh my! Sorry, just had to get that off my chest. Hope it isn't hindering you too much. Hugs BJ#12

Oh and hubby bought me a cribbage set for my birthday way back, just found it yesterday (whilst looking for the chess set), it is covered in dust and totally unloved, pretty pointless present with no one to play with. Sigh. Hugs BJ#12

Seems like £6k might even be doable. My word but you are a busy bee. Love all the fabrics, and yeah, the pretty pales are a change but also lovely. Sew on!

Happy, if wet and miserable, WOYWW!

Congrats Jan on raising so much for the RNLI and for winning the cribbage! Your fabrics are all lovely; my favourite is the blue one at the far end of your desk. Sorry you’re laid up; me too with another bout of cystitis. Hope you feel better soon.
Take care and happy WOYWW

Happy Belated WOYWW. I always love the fabrics you buy, and the latest ones are fabulous. Will definitely sell well. An amazing fundraising amount so far. I am sure you will hit the £5k soon. Yes, we must meet up in Carmarthen some time. We are away for part of next week, so let me know any dates that might suit you in October and I will consult my calendar. Your cards are gorgeous. You need to scan them, and then you can print them out to sell in the RNLI shop (or get them printed). Ali x #13
