YOU GOTTA HAVE PATIENCE, PATIENCE.....

It's funny what you can be patient about - some things don't wind me up at all whereas other situations can have my eye twitching, lol!

For example, being out of my kitchen isn't worrying me at all, we're managing really well with the camping stove in the dining room.  And the refit is going very well!

There's been a couple of issues - no work like this is ever completely trouble free - but the fitters are brilliant guys, really neat and tidy workers. And this is all fine.

But I'm missing my JanCave a lot!  I've edged one blanket and made another:
I've still got odds and ends of DK yarn so will start another as something to do whilst watching TV.....

I even resorted to sorting out the glasses cases outers/inners to make sure that I can just launch straight in when my sewing machine is back in place. I miss being able to just nip into the JanCave for 15 mins or so - still, not long now.

So for today, my desk is the ironing board!

Hope your crafting is more exciting than mine at the moment, lol!  Have a great week xxx

Your kitchen is looking wonderful, good luck. Ours ended up taking a month as we had a few issues. Love your blankets, so pretty. Have a great week. Hugs Anesha

Oh wow the kitchen is looking amazing. Love the blankets but really feel for you with the lack of the Jan cave. I think us sewing ladies often work on the ironing board...I've even been known to set my sewing machine up on mine when we were in the throws of our building.

I have an appointment with an ironing board too, but it’s nothing creative! Kitchen is looking grand, and I agree, they are very tidy in their work. Excited to see the tiles now! Oh moving back in there, you won’t know yourself!!

I am just thinking about our bedroom refit and how the place was knee deep in sawdust. They were not the cleanest of workers. Every night we were there sweeping up as I just could not stand it like that and we had to go through it to the bathroom.
I see you have got a curved cupboard - very swish! It looks lovely and so big and clean and airy. Wow, can see some fun going on in there when it is all over.

Looks like the kitchen is almost done. We had the same 5 years ago when we moved into this house. It'll be worth the wait!

Hang in there. It will all be worth it in the end. Hopefully just one more week of chaos?

Your kitchen is beautiful. I peeped about what I've missed and WOW another one remodeling...I know I am not ready for any of that. Then I see you dealing with Vertigo. I have that off and on I found wrist bands by Seaguard online and they help a lot. Good luck with all and enjoy a good week.

Ew kitchen is looking gorgeous, Jan, although I thought your other one was too! I am prepping fabric today and knitting. Like Annie, I have been known to use my very strong ironing board when other surfaces are not available.😘

The kitchen is looking gorgeous and it will definitely be worth the temporary exile from your JanCave! I love the blankets - especially the one on the left - such happy, vibrant colours!

Your kitchen is progressing wonderfully, Jan, and it's looking awesome! I am envious of those gorgeous curved cabinets... It looks as if it won't be long before you get your Jan Cave back, at this rate. So much to look forward to! If you are anything like me, you will be looking forward to getting stuck in, cooking in your new kitchen! Your blankets are fabulous. Well done, getting things done in readiness for when you have access to your sewing machine again.

Thank you for your visit, and I'm so glad you like my book. It was a real find. I've got some other design source books like this and I must go through those as well, and use some of their designs.

Happy belated WOYWW,

Love the blankets and particularly the swallow fabric for the lining of the cases, very nice.
Thanks for thinking about the Japanese mending with gold for my ceramic smashed bowl, I did think of adding foil but the glue was fast drying! Next time I think I will have it ready (bound to be a next time)
