IN THE SUMMERTIME WHEN THE WEATHER IS HIGH...

Scorchio! It is fab to have some lovely weather but it's too hot for me (must have Viking blood or something!). Hope you're managing to keep cool and happy xx  Crafting has been slightly curtailed cos of the high temps...

This has been my view for the past few days, it's not too bad in the shade in the morning but I have to retreat indoors when the temps ramp up in the afternoon.

It's too hot to handle yarn....

..so the blanket hasn't got very far...

I did make a few things last week including this cross body bag:

I had four metres of this butterfly fabric (think it must have been cheap) so I got a lot out of it!

And I've got to the point where I need to cut strips out of the leftovers from various projects - I feel another strip quilt coming on!

These will join the pile already cut. just need to cut out 12" squares to sew the strips onto and then I'll be ready to go!

Thanks to Kyla, Cindy and Angela for the lovely cards, ATCs and bookmark which turned up this week, I do love getting happy mail xx

Thank you lovely gals! Cindy included some cut out images that Neet had sent her, so even though it's out of my comfort zone, I will colour them and see if I can make a card or something in memory of our dear friend xx

Short and sweet today, it's too hot to ramble on! Hope you have a cracking week, enjoy your crafting xxx

Unbearably hot here in Surrey, ridiculous in fact. Lovely cards and I was spying the extra images, I'm going to try and recreate one myself. Hugs Bj#2

The happy mail is lovely and a happy reminder of how Neet loved to share her art. I'm sure you will enjoy making a little something with the bits and bobs. Your little bags are really lovely and I bet they sell well. x x Jo 🌈

Happy too hot WOYWW
I have been waiting for The Hubster to take the ATCs to the PO but I assure you yours in in an envelope and just needs checking to ensure it is not needing extra postage. You made me laugh - Scorchio! I remember that but not where is was from...our heat map looks like that one - all red everywhere. Ready for it to be over now - def too hot for yarn!!

A lovely collection of love you've been sent. I sat with a cold face cloth on the back of my neck last night and it really helped with the heat.
Hugs,
Annie x

Been thinking of you on your deck, it’s a grand view isn’t it. Must admit that yesterday I had to retreat to the shade although I was still using yarn. I’m crocheting a four stitch tube, so no blanket type structure to sit in my lap!
I have two or three things on the go and I’m not good at it, I’m definitely a one job at a timer, so am frantically trying to finish something! We’re having a talk from RNLI at WI next week, I’m going to brag about you!

Gorgeous collection of ATCs and cards. I've been really slow this time sending stuff out as that baby journal has been a real distraction. Thank you for the lovely ATC you sent me too, love it. Pleased I'm not the only one that suffers with the heat and hope it calms down. Happy woyww, Angela x10x

I feel for you all in the heat that you are in, not fun. I love the butterfly cross body bag! Too bad it would be outrageous postage to send it to me! Have a great week, keep cool if you can, Lindart #11🍧🍨

Thank you so much for the card and ATC. It was indeed happy mail. We only caught the tail end of the heatwave. We have been on a site near Harlech and had lots of strong winds and very cool. We went back home for Jay’s birthday and were amazed it was so hot - only 2 hours away! Now we are about 15 miles from Cardigan. Hugs Angela x
