PENBLWYDD HAPUS I TI
(HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU)
Well, I'm officially feeling my age today - it's our younger son Rhys' birthday and he's turning 30! When did that happen then. how have those years passed in the blink of an eye? We're off out this morning as he's taken the day off and we're out gallivanting! Comments may be late.....
It's been a busy old week made nicer by the gorgeous weather, my favourite time of the year when all the fresh green leaves are bursting all over the place. It was sunny but blustery for the Emergency Services Day at the RNLI last Saturday:
I was lucky to be in the boat hall, it was a busy afternoon.
And I did ok given that it wasn't a craft event as such. I spent most of the time chatting which was lovely...not that I need practise in that direction...
Stocks are running a bit low so I've been busy sewing as well:
The zipped bags are selling really well...
As are the crossbody bags - this pattern is easy, more like fabric origami than sewing. The sunflowers are always popular, I don't expect these to hang around for long.
My lovely friend Kim was doing a Temu order so I asked if I could tag some zips onto it (as they're so much cheaper). After they arrived Kim donated them to me, she wouldn't take what I owed her so I'm incredibly grateful to her for that kind gesture xx
This lovely lot should keep me sorted for a while!
I've been crocheting another wavy blanket, this time in blues:
It reminds me of the colours of the sea and sand in the estuary here. I'd taken it with me to work on at one of the craft fairs and may have already sold it to another stallholder!
Hope you're all keeping well and happy and have had a good week, let's hope the sunshine lasts for a bit longer, it does us good! xxxx

Your hard work fundraising makes it all the more vital when the crowds are out and about and needing help! Loving that sunflower fabric, i am sure it will fly off the tables. Hope you G and Rhys have a good gallivant for his birthday!. hugs, Helen #1
I love your wavy crochet- I could make a twiddler like that if only I could crochet nicely! The colours are perfect for the seaside. Your bags sound clever too. I guess the origami means more folding less sewing - brilliant. Doesn't that rainbow π of zips look fab! Happy birthday to Rhys! x x Jo π
Happy birthday to Rhys - It does make us feel old! Have a great day out together.
I wonder if the RNLI could buy something that’s say £15-20k? It might help if people can see a target.
Your blue wavy blanket is very seasidey, it’s a lovely piece of crochet. Your crossbody bags are excellent and I love your sunflower fabric.
Gallivnt away, my lovelies!
Happy WOYWW

Hello my lovely. Bright but still a bit blustery here - I'm still wearing a big jumper but the sunshine and blue skies are certainly good for me. Just had a lovely hour in the garden and now a few quick woyww visits befor lunch. Trying not to spend too long in one position. Your stall as always looks great and you've been so busy!! Love the wavy blanket, lovely colours. Best wishes to G (its scary that isn't it, Chelsey hits 35 this year and I will be twice her age in December!!). Have a good week, love n hugs Cindy xx#7

Oh my word Rhys, how could you?!! I hope you’ve all had a smashing day enjoying your lovely grown up youngest’s birthday. Great day for it, beautiful sunshine. Sounds like the RNLI day was a busy one and your table looked fab. Lovely to have a chatty day amongst folk who are together for such a singular reason. No surprise to me that the sunflower fabric is such a good seller, it’s wonderful.
