EASTER JUBILATION FILLS THE STREETS AND TOWNS...
Hi all, hope you had a lovely Easter weekend! Mine was filled with a market and Son No 1's birthday amidst other things. The weather has been beautiful and nature is blossoming all over, can't be bad eh?
The market went reasonably well but was fairly quiet. I guess folks were out making the most of the sunshine! I did ok and made enough to attain the £14K, hooray!!
£14,030 to be precise! Got another one this weekend so anything we make will be a bonus xx
I've not done as much making this week just cos other things have been happening:
OMG I love this fabric...in fact, I've ordered more as it went quickly and I need some for myself!
The colours are just so vibrant! On the opposite end of the scale is the daffodil fabric, different but just as pretty:
The colours aren't done justice in this photo, they're much more distinct - I like that spotty contrast too.
The wavy blanket (Attic 24's neat ripple pattern) came to its final wiggly stripe:
I really enjoyed making this, very easy pattern to do when watching telly, not much concentration required...which is just as well these days *grin* The yarn in the box is for the next version, same wavy stripes but in shades of blue, grey and sandy interspersed with narrower white. Should look quite seasidey!
Short and sweet today, hope you're all keeping well and happy and had lots of chocolate at the weekend xxxxxxxx

Oh I do love the wavy blanket, still intrigued as to how it is achieved??? Glad you topped your latest milestone even with a fairly quiet market. Hugs Bj#3
Your wavy blanket is beautiful. If we lived closer I'd get you to teach me how to do it. Although I am a bit slapdash so it certainly wouldn't look as neat. Hence, the twiddlers! Well done on your magnificent total.x x Jo 🌈
Happy belated birthday so son #1. It's good to hear you've been out and about and wow well done you on the money raised. Love the latest blanket and the new colours are fab.

Well done going over £14k, that’s an amazing achievement. Your zingy rainbow fabric is brilliant and I love how you’ve picked out the blue among the daffodils with your spotted lining.
Your wavy blanket is beautiful and I love the colour set for the next one.
Happy WOYWW

Not surprised that fabric was so popular, I'm wondering if I can use the design somewhere on a journal page, we'll see. I do think that holidays are not always the best time to have craft markets. My cousin had one with her girl guides and they didn't do as well as expected mainly because everyone else seemed to have a similar idea. As we were going to the church where it was held we must have seen at least three other craft sales at village halls and churches, think she will be rethinking it next time. However you look as though you did okay which does not surprise me, I love what you make though you make me feel guilty for not doing more sewing myself, my loft is still full of fabric, lace, buttons that I really need to do something with....we'll see. Sending big woyww hugs, Angela x5x
Gorgeous pattern! I have a who;e book (quite old) of all ripple patterns. It's a fun one for sure. That bright zebra is crazy cool and paired with the dots? Perfection. Congrats on your goal achieved - how much bonus can you get? With you, the sky's the limit!
Happy WOYWW!

Congratulations on passing your target. I had to smile at your craft show display. There is a picture of the Ark above your stall, saving lives at sea! That material is really vibrant. Yes, I am feeling a little better thank you, you have got to be positive haven’t you! Hugs Angela #11
My word Jan, 14k. What a staggering number, I wish now you’d kept a record of what you’d made so we could see the numbers of bags, knitters, blankets and all! Miles and miles of thread and yarn! I bet Spring is looking good at your place, how nice it’s been to have a bright Easter weekend, specially with all your men about you, hope O is doing well as he gets another year under his belt! I love the wavy blanket, such gorgeous colours for both, don’t you get them done fast! I’m still slogging on with the thin thread crochet, you know me, one job ata time like an old woman!!
Well done! I love the set up for your booth! Very colourful! That fabric is certainly vibrant! Perhaps, when you make your new ocean-y blanket you could crochet a few little boats to put on the waves! Have a wonderful week🌷Lindart#14
I can see why you like that vibrant fabric so much Jan. Well done on reaching the next fund raising milestone. Stay safe and Happy belated WOYWW. Sarah
Fantastic on getting over the £14k and love that fabric too. Kyla
Dear Jan! Congrats to Pound 14k!! You rocked it! Be proud! Congrats belated to son. My Dear Daughter had Birthday on Easter Monday. Wonderful time to celebrate.
I love the colors of the fabric (with black...) so much. And the daffodils too. Eva from Austria. (Belated).
