ALL KINDS OF EVERYTHING...
What a lovely week it's been, everything feels better when the sun is out, definitely a hint of Spring in the air!
It's more of a show and tell rather than a desk shot today...I've finished a few things and am getting some more stock ready for the upcoming fairs.
This is how the fruity square quilt turned out:
I had the salmon pink border fabric in my stash and it was just right for finishing off. I had bought a really cheap duvet cover in Tesco a couple of weeks back (£10 for a king size!) and some of that made a great backing:
Just the right colours and there's enough left for three more quilts...you couldn't buy the fabric for that!
I finished off the last of the crochet squares as well and laid them out:
I sewed them together whilst watching The Other Bennet Girl on iplayer so it flew past! I did a dark purple border to finish it off but forgot to take a pic...
Some more fabric turned up this week, must have been ordered by mistake....cough....
lovely and bright!
plus some nautical prints which should go well around here! I cut straight into the shell print fabric:
and it's turned out ever so well! I'm doing some with this pale blue lining and some with a silver grey, very smart!
I have enough to keep me out of mischief for a while....
I started another crochet blanket as my tv watching crafting and am doing Attic 24's Neat Ripple pattern in various shade of pink and grey with a white stripe in between:
I've only just started but it's growing nicely - I like the ripple effect and it's very simple so is a mindless project to do!!
Taking about crochet my SiL sent me this pic from New Zealand, the most beautiful but teeny tiny crochet earrings:
Aren't they lovely? I wouldn't even know where to begin, too fiddly for this impatient girl lol!!
There, all done, thanks for reading through to the end. Hope you're all keeping well and happy, have a great week!

Fabulous fabric and projects. I showed my MIL the bright squares, thinking she might be able to to see being it was lovely and bright. Hugs Angela #13
So much creative eye candy in your posts. I love all the bright colours in the quilt and blanket. If I was still doing sewing projects I would definitely have a large fabric stash. Haven't watched The Other Bennet Girl yet - it is on my very long watch list. I rarely sit down to watch anything during the day, and in the evening we watch YouTube together or our latest drama on Netflix/ITV X etc. It is only if Rich is busy in the evening or away that I get to catch up on the series I want to watch (haven't finished watching the latest Bridgerton yet). The quilt is fabulous and agree about buying bedding to use as backing. The earrings are amazing-I wouldn’t know where to start with them.Catriona
Gosh those earrings are just lovely aren’t they, but I wouldn’t even attempt them, I thought I was being brave with the table runner!! The quilt is fabulous, works perfectly hanging over the bannister making that sunny landing look even sunnier! Am amazed at how well chosen those anonymous fabric orders are…those sunflowers are beautiful, the little ditsy florals are so pretty. The onward creep of spring is just heartwarming isn’t it, delighted to say that the fruit trees that were scorched by the fire at Marlins are all in blossom…best comeback sight I must say!
Looks like you're ready for a fun summer of sewing! I like the sunflower fabric and the Nautical fabric, as well as the Van Gogh fabric! Great job on the fruity quilt, and the crocheted blanket as well! Lovely sprin colours! Have a Great week🌸Lindart
Happy (late, but not too late!) WOYWW! Aren't those earrings gorgeous? I love all your show&tells - the quilt is gorgeous too! and I am with you - sheets and duvets are fab for quilt backings. Economical too. Love the pretty pink ripple, and the squares - The Other Bennet Girl is on my list for tonight, while The Hubster is off playing hoops. I should be able to blaze thru them and am looking forward to it.

Super fruity quilt and I'd have used the cheap cover on my bed - LOL- the crochet squares defo remind me of Spangles. Was the Other Bennet Girl good? Mistake - oopsey - love the night sky one. Oh wow a long time since I have heard of Attic 24 - used it a lot when I taught a few ladies to crochet many moons ago. love the ripple pattern and wondering how it's done now.....WOW to the earrings so cute.
