COME BACK AND FINISH WHAT YOU STARTED...

Hi there lovely Deskers, another week has whizzed past and quite a lot has been achieved! I last heard from Neet a couple of days ago, she was waiting to be transferred to Cardiology, I hope that has happened and she’s feeling better. Fingers crossed.

So a quick run through my finishing up of projects which stemmed from a tidy up of the JanCave.

I put all those lovely quilt squares together and am in the process of quilting, just stitch in the ditch. I put a pink backing and grey border, it looked really sweet.

I've had this fabric cut out for ages but it kept getting pushed to the back of the queue. This is all done and dusted now, I like it very much!

And then I saw a YouTube tutorial on a simple way to make bowl cosies that didn't involve templates so thought I'd have a go. It was easy and quick to make:

One side....

...and the other! It's completely reversible but I think I'd quilt the fabrics next time to give a bit of rigidity.

There's been more knitting of Father Christmas Choc orange covers and here I'm putting in some red shirring elastic so the orange doesn't fall out of his bottom!!

Sounds daft but it works well!
And I'll leave you with a pic of the flowers G bought me two weeks ago (from the Co op), they have been absolutely glorious:

Luscious colours, they've been getting more lovely as they develop. I have really enjoyed them!

Short and sweet today, hope you have a cracking week!

Love the bowl cosies….don’t forget it all has to be made with cotton fabrics and thread if it’s to go in the microwave 😀 Gorgeous flowers.

You're so right I don't know where the weeks are going at the moment, the days seem to pass very quickly. Love your snow man which reminds me I must get some chocolate oranges as they are the only thing hubby wants for Christmas Lol! or so he says. The flowers are beautiful too. Hope to hear more about Neet soon. Happy woyww, Angela x7x

Your quilt and bowl cosies are pretty and I can just imagine the bowl full of croissants or bread rolls. Your flowers are beautiful and look like they’ve lasted well. Your Santa made me laugh, he definitely wouldn’t want a choc orange falling out of his bottom!
Happy WOYWW

Dear Jan!
Thank you for all the pretty new impressions. I really hat to ask aunt google: what are bowl cosies. Aha - now I know this!
Found a nice short video. Explains everything.
I love the flowers, the baby quilt and Father Christmas Choc.
Best wishes from Austria, Eva

I love those hot colours in your flowers - they brighten every day don't they. Your quilt will be loved I'm sure - lovely colour combo. You had me chuckling with Santa's little personal problem 🤣x x Jo 🌈

I do not wish to discuss Santa’s bottom problems! 🤪. Love the idea of bowl cosies although not quite sure if you use them “as is “ or you put a bowl in them! Fabulous quilt and I think “Come back and finish what you started” should be my motto. Happy WOYWW Angela #10

Yup, truly gorgeous flowers, the huge bunch that you and the Deskers sent has finally finished, I whittled it down to a sort of posy size over the last three weeks, been marvellous. Made me snort to think there's a new section of society receiving gifts that might involving Santa's bottom!! Brilliant idea with the elastic I must say.

Oh adore the pinks in the quilt and the "stitch in the ditch" not heard that one before. Not a good thing when the orange falls out of your bottom, good fix. Love the sparkly red yarn you used for the father Christmas. Gorgeous flowers, such vibrant colours and 2 weeks on! amazing. Going on the last week... sorry to hear of Neet in hospital hope she gets better soon. Dealing in chocolate, don't know how you do it as I'd eat the lot!!! Adore the gnomes too, oh and the polar bears are super too. Hugs Bj#9

Fabulous projects Jan. Not sure I would like a chocolate orange that's fallen from Santa's bottom lol. Very quick visits as I have received yet more items for samples this morning. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah
