 WHOLE LOTTA LOVE...

It's been a lovely start to 2023 - my bro and SiL came to stay and I became a Great- Aunt again!

Hence the bunting bits and bobs on the JanCave desk:

Congrats to Matt, Kim and Leo on their new arrival! Can't wait for a cwtch xx

There's been quite a lot of activity on the desk this week, the grotty rainy weather has meant extra crafting (always a silver lining eh?!)  I used my Christmas voucher in Doughty's sale:

And this lovely pile arrived....

That should keep me busy for a while, lol! I try to get as wide a range of designs and colours as possible to appeal to all tastes, hope these will go ok in the cafe.

The first thing I made this year though was for Yours Truly:

I made myself an apron using the fab stripy fabric that my mate Kim passed onto me, there's loads left so I shall make some bags as well.

Don't mess with a desker with a rolling pin in her hand, lol!!

Have a great week and enjoy your crafting xxxxxxxxx

Love all your new fabric but my favourite would be the owls. Great idea to make a pinny-think I need to make one for myself. A friend has asked my to make some stoma bag covers so I’ll need to search out a pattern for those. X Happy sewing!

That pic of you with the rolling pin made me chuckle Jan.
The rain could be a sign for us deskers to do something don’t you think.
Although I said to the wandering welder yesterday that when the weather is naff we should go out for lunch.
Any excuse haha

Your array of fabric is gorgeous. As is your new niece, I'm sure. Funny, my niece is named Anna Ella - is it a trend? Oh & I think I need that pattern. I am bad for forgetting and not putting on old clothes to gel plate play or when I'm "gettin'inky wit it!" All my clothes are speckled with paint. I need both an apron AND some of those sleeve cover things I sometimes see people wearing on YT videos. If only I could get to my sewing machine... DOH!
HAPPY WOYWW!

Don’t mess with you when you’ve a rolling pin ( or pitchfork) in your hand! Love the stripy apron and the new fabrics. Congratulations on becoming a great auntie again!
The weather has been good for crafting here too, but is sunny today when I have to go to the hairdressers.
Take care and happy WOYWW

Great photo Jan, you are looking well (if a little fierce). I do not know why but I can always feel my spirits lift when I see the lovely fabrics you show us. Some real doozies there, the owls and the butterflies particularly caught my eye. I have also enjoyed extra crafting time this week due to the non stop rain but it plays havoc with my walking schedule because I am seriously a fair weather keep fitter. Any excuse to pull up te drawbridge in January and hide in my room lol. With regard to my patchwork circles I am flattered that for one moment you would have thought I could have cut all those mats!! Yes its a die and it makes light work of the whole process. Have a good week, love n hugs Cindyxx #8

Loving the new fabric, your new pinny looks great. Rainy weather has meant lots of muddy paws! We used Mum’s machine so not too much washing to do. My Machine struggles to get mud out, but Mum’s was great - I wonder if we need a new machine 🤔 hugs Angela #18

Love the pose with the pinny and pin. (apron)
Wow, what a great choice of fabrics, now I wonder what will be the first one you choose to use?
If it's as wet down there as up her in the north I predict the rainbow fabric but if it was me i would have to do something with the owls. But then there are two lots of hearts and Valentines day is coming up - so i give up and will wait to see which way you go.
Congrats on the new baby, I take it it was a little girl, called Ella. How lovely.
Hugs and best wishes,

Loving that cheerful apron, the whole pic made me giggle! Lovely news on the arrival of Ella, what a sweet name too, happy families- nothing like it. You got a grand mix of fabrics, lots in the mix there, I think you’re very strong to choose patterns that nay not necessarily float your boat, just the sort of thing that would have me putting off doing anything!!
