I GOT BRASS IN POCKET

Blimey but it's been a busy week since the last post - mostly taken up by rehearsing for and then entering the Welsh Areas brass band contest in the Third Section in Swansea on Saturday. My band came second (woohoo!) and we qualified for the National Finals in September where we will be representing Wales!! We're all thrilled about that. Needless to say, I was quite tired so haven't done a huge amount of crafting - did have a few whiskies though *grin*

The JanCave desk looks like this, nothing really going on, just starting to get some bunting organised:

I'll be tessellating those triangles before you know it.....

The restock box is is starting to fill up:

I'll try to get down to the cafe this week and have a changeover.

G's Men Shed group have taken a stall at the monthly village market and will be selling various things they've made. G thought that cards of his photos would be more sellable than full size photos which are expensive to print and tricky to get a decent price for.

So I introduced him to the pleasures of card stock and double sided tape!

He did some little printed labels to stick on the back so it all looks very professional!

Our little lighthouse is so photogenic! We have no idea if they'll sell but I'm always using notecards so they won't be wasted!

Hope you have a good week - enjoy whatever crafting you get up to xx

Well done on the band's success and good luck in the finals! Your box of goodies to sell looks so bright and colourful, I am sure they will fly at the cafe.
G's cards look fab too, he'll be joining in with a desk of his own next!! Happy WOYWW Helen #?

Hi Jan, Congrats on winning and now going forward to represent Wales.

Hope you whiz through the bunting.

Those purses and glasses cases will fly out of the shop.

Gs cards are fab. I am sure they will sell. Think they'd do well in the shop as well.

Happy WOYWW

The cards are great..tell me do that Gordon was absorbed and hooked into the card making!! I’m super impressed by how active and community focussed the men’s group is, I’m not sure that they’re all so successful! I’m thinking that most people who visit Burry Port must leave with one of your glasses cases, I wonder if you have a rough idea of quite how many you’ve made?!! Enjoy the lovely weather, I can’t fault the timing!

That hard work certainly paid off.
G’s photos will certainly sell, they’re great! How lovely, for his group to have a craft stall.

Congrats on the Band's win! Very exciting. Maybe we will be lucky and they will stream the event - always fun when they do that with darling daughter's skating comps as the US fam gets to tune in. Your restock box is def. filling up and the cards are wonderful. Shame he can't (or can he?) use some of those old slide photos with pithy or witty sayings - bet they would sell like hotcakes.
Happy WOYWW!
