ALWAYS DEAR, I'LL BE HERE WAITING
LISTENING TO THE WIND THAT BLOWS....

A slightly tongue-in-cheek lyric this week and dedicated to my brother Steve - he's a regular reader of this blog and gently chastised me last week for not showing any crafting for the past couple of weeks (he was teasing!) So, just to keep him happy...

This week's workdesk aka the kitchen table! If this shot looks a bit weird, G bought a very wide angle lens off a mate and I was trying it out! The weather has been so amazing this week, the doors have been open to get some breeze into the house...

How's about this for a random assortment of bits and pieces?! I'm entering the County WI competition in a few categories - the theme is 'Crossing Continents' and so I've done a pen and ink drawing of some Easter Island figures, a computer generated poster advertising the Taj Mahal (photo courtesy of my other brother Eric), a poem 'On Safari' and an original photo of a European landmark. I picked the most obscure categories possible as there's no point me entering cooking/floral art - I love both but sticking to a recipe/strict brief simply isn't me :-D

Is that ok for you Steve? It's crafting of a sort!!

Some more beautiful ATCs turned up this week - thank you so much Christine Bishopsmate, Sylvia Little Treasures, Robyn and Kim; such gorgeous little works of art and all so different. I love them xxxx

The garden is finished!! Woohoo! Well, I still have a few plants to put in but all the hard landscaping is done - G, Rhys and I shifted a tonne of grey slate chippings the other evening to finish off the paths - it looks great.

We've sat in the shade an awful lot this week!

And the bathroom has gone from this:

to this:

So we're getting there slowly. You can imagine the layers of dust upstairs but I'm ignoring that until the work is finished!!

Hope you all have a fun week and manage to do more crafting than me ;-)

Looks like you have even more lovely ATCs to add to your growing collection. They are all lovely.

I simply adore your garden, but wonder how you water the plants in the center area, If by hand, I don't envy you. Other than that, the design is impressive.

You have some incredible art to enter in that contest. Good luck on all entries. Happy WOYWW from #2.

Love your garden-we also have pebbles in the back with decking. I have three grow bags full of sweet peas which are growing every way but up. Your bathroom is going to be very luxurious when it’s done. Catriona

Well, I think gardening and crafting are the same thing really, and interior designing is a posh crafting! Garden looks just fab. Obv, I will reserve a seat in the sun, but if I were you, I’d be sitting in it in all weathers, just to enjoy your design work. What do the kids say - ‘hashtag smug’! Love it. Bathroom looks like a posh hotel all ready!

The garden looks awesome and it looks like the bathroom is on the right track as well! Lovely to see the colourful splash of some more ATCs! Your competition entries look so professional! I thought they were "official" printed materials. I especially like your ink work of the Easter Island statues. Very impressive and I wouldn't mind seeing a close-up! Good luck with the competition - my money's on you (figuratively speaking)! Happy #470! zsuzsa #20

Your garden is looking fabulous - I love your design and it looks beautifully done - if your gardeners fancy a trip to the south coast send them my way - our garden is in dire need of a face lift!
Your pen and ink drawing is beautiful, you clever gal - I need a closer look at all your incredible detail though - it's half covered up! Good luck with your entries, I'm sure you'll walk it - it all looks so professional and classy.

Hi Jan, just popped back as I noticed on Sylvia's blog you mentioned about not getting your posts in your emails. I have looked into this as I thought it was something I had altered well it's not and Google are aware of it and are trying to put it right but how long it will take I don't know. They have been altering stuff at their end and it's effected stuff at our end, sorry I can't explain it any other way. Hope it gets sorted soon. Hugs, Angela xXx

First LOVE the beach WOYWW banner! Second, I'd love to come sit in your garden! Mine is a jungle right now, it has done nothing but rain and get really hot and humid and then rain again. The flooding we had on Sunday actually flattened my milkweed plants! Love the tile work in your bathroom. Thanks for the visit!

Incidentally, do I recognize a lot of those flower pots? I wondered where they had gone! Steve x
