YOU GOTTA HAVE A HEART....

I honestly cannot believe it's Wednesday again - I was convinced it was Monday yesterday and it's thrown me out completely!  The Jan Cave has had its two manky walls plastered and they're as smooth as a baby's peachy derriere. Such skill to do that, it's perfect- look:

Now comes the painting - next week though, after everything has dried out properly.

So I've still been working downstairs...
My dining table is covered with stuff, which doesn't matter as the room is full of the study contents, as that room was plastered too. Detritus on the left, finished articles on the right!

I'm going to give these to the Knit Stitch and B*tch group on Thursday - I've made quite a few now, this is the second batch and I fancy doing something else!!

Some new purchases - half a metre of that Land Rover fabric to make a boy's PE kit bag and I'd used up all my bows on the Christmas penguins so had to buy some more.

What else have we been doing - you wouldn't believe the half of it so I'll leave you with some images of the harbour area in my town where we had a picnic lunch last Friday to escape the madness for a moment:
The egret was busy hunting for his lunch too!

But these were way too big for him - they're about 20 inches long!

We watched a boat go flying in the air :-D Off to have its bottom scraped or something!

But mostly, we just sat and enjoyed the view:

Absolute heaven.....

I doubt if the JanCave will be finished by next Wednesday so goodness knows what I'll have to share!  Hope you have a more productive week than me :-D

Your box of finished decks look good enough to eat Jan....or is that just me? I love them. I should get making a few cos I have a craft fair early December but can’t get in the mood...hope it comes but if not I will just take the boxes filled with the goodies I’ve made before lol
Have a good week painting your room and making it yours.

At first I thought your finished articles were cakes! They certainly look good enough to eat - you have to minus the ribbon to see what I mean. Gosh, you put me to shame with all this work you have done - and all for a good cause too.
Love the pictures from the picnic lunch.

ps yes, I am amazed at the finish the plasterers get - fantastic work - wonder if they would ice our Christmas cakes?

I agree with Annie - your box of decorations looked like iced biscuits at first glance - totally delicious!!
Do give your walls a stroke from me - I love the feel of bare plaster, it's so silky and smooth - strange I know, but I'm sure I can't be the only one!!
I don't know how you manage to keep crafting while having all that done - you really have done fabulously with all those beautiful decs. I love the little penguins, they are soooooo cute!
Have a great week and I look forward to seeing the finished/part-finished Jan Cave.
Hugs, D

New plaster is a thing of beauty isn't it, especially when you have lived with wonky walls. It sounds like you are in full renovation swing so it must be so lovely to escape for some sea air for a bit. Love your baskets of decorations, it looks like a posh shop, you've been so busy. Good Luck with getting your Jan cave back and have a good week.

Hi Jan, You will be much happier when all your stuff is back in your craft room.

You've been busy with the Christmas items.

Bet there was a sigh of relief from the owner when the boat was safely ashore.

Morning Jan - Just imagine having to be waved in the air like that to have your bottom scraped - beyond imagination, really...
However... Great makes - just love those little penguins! Soon be back in your own cave, and the house back to its shiny neatness with everything in the right rooms.
Fantastic harbour photos - lovely shot of the egret.
Take care. God bless.

Wish you luck in a speedy move in, like you told Jan time disappears in a black hole..seems my holes been pretty deep. Love you nature photos, just so fun to see others areas. And a unique bowl, perfect stitching on all the little ornaments. You surely are busy with fun stuff. Enjoy the week.

What lovely "stuff" you have created, super job. I had my sewing machine out for my hubby's cycling trousers this morning, so boring they look! My scrapbooking goes back to Dec 2003 so quite a few years to look back on! Thanks for your visit BJ#1

Hiya Jan, lovely things you made! The walls look great, we were lucky when we wanted some done, a guy at work does it as a sideline, and a fab job he made of them too, and the ceilings. Feeling great at the moment, all seems to be healing fine, which is good. Love and Hugs to you both, Shaz XxXx

The JanCave - love it!! Haha! How great to have it redecorated, and I bet you can't wait to get back in there. Nice to have somewhere else to work in the meantime, though. Lovely photos, all of them. Your little decorations are so cute, especially the Christmas puddings lol! Love the penguins too... and the hearts... You are so busy, you put me to shame! Thank you for your lovely comment which was so encouraging! I'm sure you are right that my weight loss is helping my health issues, no longer having to lug around all that excess baggage lol! The apple butter is brilliant - I'd never heard of it before I discovered it online, and it certainly concentrates the apples right down. We have one tree only, but it produces massively, and such gorgeous sweet apples too - no idea what variety but they oook and eat really well.
