ALL KINDS OF EVERYTHING REMIND ME OF YOU...
I did apologise a couple of weeks back for my random pics and lack of crafting, which is when I didn't post. Many of the folk who commented that week said they didn't care and quite enjoyed seeing what nonsense appears in this space.
So...you have been warned. This is what the past seven days has contained:
The removal of several very overgrown palm trees from our garden. Mr LLJ and my brother Steve did an amazing job and were very careful not to accidentally demolish next door's fence!
My niece (Steve's daughter) wanted some driftwood to make interesting sculptures for her wedding later this year...we got many curly pieces but this was the piece de resistance! What would YOU do with it?
She also wanted pebbles so these are a random selection!
Mother's Day saw me receive some gorgeous flowers off my boys...I love the bright Bollywood colours :-D
I did a LOT of walking - 35 miles in a week :-) The beach is just too good to ignore, especially during the gorgeous weather we had over the weekend. The beaches in the area face straight onto the Gulf Stream coming across the Atlantic. it's always interesting to see what gets carried ashore on the tide. Today's surprise was:
A big jellyfish - 12" across, 24" long. It looks so alien, don't you think?
I hope you've enjoyed a taster of my life but honestly, I really do think I have to not post while I'm not crafting. It's not really in the spirit of WOYWW is it?
Hope you all have fun making something while my mojo is absent!! xxx

What a fabulous beach. I love seeing your photos.
Have a great time with Julia.

Hi Jan, Glad you are getting your new home sorted. You must have reasonable weather for the palms to grow so well.
I think the driftwood should be used to hand glittery lights on.
What a lovely combination of colours in your flowers.
Been too cold for me to venture to the beach here yet. Don't touch the jellyfish, as it may be poisonous.
Happy WOYWW

All those finds from the beach look great. I'm glad you didn't take the jelly fish home though, I wouldn't know where to start with that. I'm sure you'll have something crafty to share after your visit to Julia! Happy WOYWW Sarah #13
That really is an amazing piece of driftwood. I long to live near a beach again. Still miss it after 20 years. One day. Have a fabulous time with Julia x
Ugh to the jellyfish, alien and scary! My amazement at the tree is countered only by the fact that the fence you mention is actually your neighbour's - I'm amazed! The flowers from the boys are just perfect for your sunny table, how cheery.
I love seeing your beautiful photos - it really is a stunning place. I just love the jelly fish - several times a year when I was travelling on the ferry we'd see thousands of little pink ones in Southampton Water, it would be teaming with them - they looked like little condoms - but I've never seen such a big'un as that one!!
Hope you have a great week and a fab time with Julia,
Hugs,
Diana xx
That driftwood is begging to be made into a fairy home, I can just see all the tiny plants and people ....... sorry .....
All these photos just prove is that you have a change of desk at the mo and we're all jealous!!
Have a good week and enjoy your weekend with Julia

Please keep posting, Jan, you just have a different kind of desk at the minute, the desk of life, perhaps!!! Love all the wonderful things you have been doing, that driftwood is such a strange shape, sounds like interesting wedding decorations.
Gorgeous photos of the sea, but the jellyfish makes me skirm, I'm not keen when they are on the beach, very alien indeed!!
Have a great time with Julia.

I think your post is very much the spirit of WOYWW, Jan. Because you have so recently moved house, it's as important to know why you're not crafting and, in any case, collecting driftwood and pebbles seems creative to me! The driftwood would look fabulous with those air plants tucked about it. Add a elf or two, and we're back in the realms of Enid Blyton's enchanted woods :) That jellyfish definitely looks alien. A little bird tells me you're off to play with Julia tomorrow. Have a wonderful time. Hugs, Elizabeth x #26
Loving your post, I love nature and living by water is one of my dreams since childhood. I like the adventure it offers and in your area beautiful scenery. Yeah to the jelly fish. Hugs to your sons, your flowers are beautiful. It was a fun visit. Have some super fun visiting Julia. Hope you have Sunshine and Lollipops.
Hi Jan. Hey there - stop putting yourself down! Your photos are incredibly creative - love watching what you are up to - and let's face facts... it's only about 7 weeks since you had a major housemove. Good grief - you even moved COUNTRY!!!!!!!!!
Have a fantastic time with Julia. Give her my best wishes.
Take care. God bless.

I love your photos! And your flowers are just gorgeous! I'm envious that you have a beach to walk, our desert is not safe with javalinas (giant pig-looking vicious animals), coyotes, and unfortunately, drug cartel people from across the border. Hope you have a great week and lucky you to spend time with Julia!

Oh WOW to the jelly fish. Never seen such a perfect one washed up - love to see all the bits of it - make a fabulous study for drawing or painting. Everything about the sea you have shown us I love - but not a clue what to do with that particular driftwood.
Gorgeous flowers - so bright and cheery. I once told my son never to bother buying me anything for Mother's Day as it is so close to my birthday. Well, goodness knows how many years on (over 30) he still doesn't. But heaven forbid if I did not get a card. Have to smile.
Love the look of your house that we got.
Hugs, Neet 2 xx
It seems to me that your workspace these days is nature and the beach - a great place for creativity to take place, for the seeds to grow, so at the moment, it really IS your workspace! Personally, I love living near the beach vicariously through your pasts! Thanks for sharing, Lindart #35
**posts**!
Oh Jan - we love your pics so don't stop! WOYWW is more than just your workdesk after all. Those flowers are so juicy - fab colours. I have to chuckle at the thought of your garden being crammed with palm trees - sounds sub-tropical down there!!! xx Jo
Great photos. And hey, although we'd like to believe it, life isn't just about arts & crafts! Have a great week. Dorlene #33
I love to see what you have been up to and miss you when you don't post so keep 'em coming I say! I snuck in some plants and my badminton today btw LOL. BJ#20
The driftwood looks a bit like a man that's had a few too many..
I love seeing how much your making of living on the West Wales coast again. I've given in to steroids to combat my chest infection, but they do boost creativity somewhat. I'm having fun playing with steampunk beads and charms - more about that later. Will call again soon, love Lxxx
well, the thing of it is... its your blog and it doesn't have to be just crafts kwim? so, seeing photos of other things is just as interesting as desks :) and things like driftwood and rocks tend to end up in the garden so, I am probably not much help for a design idea on the stump. but, that is a huge piece WOW ~Stacy #34
It is always lovely to see what is happening in your part of the world. Have a great week.
