WOYWW 385

ROUND LIKE A CIRCLE IN A SPIRAL
LIKE A WHEEL WITHIN A WHEEL....

It's been getting to be like Groundhog Day on my desk recently! But I actually did start making something else today - my friend Helen has asked me to make some tissue holders for her to give as little Christmas presents. Woohoo, something that isn't felt! To the Scrapmobile, Batgirl.....

Bright colours was what Helen asked for - I like a challenge!

I haven't seen some of these for a while, they're like old friends :-D

Inside out...the one that I have turned out and ironed features a rather lovely lace trim that I bought from C&H Fabrics in Winchester last Sunday (I still miss Janet Fairythoughts when I go in the shop.....)

A bit of fun eh? I did enjoy running these up as they're so quick to make!

But is my felt obsession done with yet? Not on your nelly.......

Some more examples of what I made - they've gone off in the parcels now.

And as well as the lace I bought in Winchester, a few other things snuck their way into my basket. If that picture doesn't shriek 'Christmas' then I don't know what would.  Red stars with snowflakes next, I think......I can't seem to stop!

Thanks for all the lovely comments last week. Because of 'life' stuff, I don't think I returned all of them..sorry. This week isn't going to be better either as we have to return to Wales for the funeral of one of our oldest friends - it may be the weekend before I catch up, for which I apologise.

Have a lovely week everyone - I'm sending hugs and big squishies to you all :-)

What lovely bright colours Jan - super Christmas gifts.
Thank you so much for your latest parcel - it was sitting tucked away behind my flower pots by the front door when I got home last night. Everything is fabulous and the felt decorations are so cute. Thank you once again. BIG (((hugs))).

Ooh, I just love getting big squishies!
Love your tissue holders, what a great idea but i had to smile when I read your comment about how easy they are to make - hrumph! You don't know me. I would not know where to start. If you saw me doing one of my sewing projects you would hide your head in the nearest cushion.
Looking forward to seeing the stars. Sorry your trip to the store is tinged with sadness and also that you are returning to Wales for such a sad occasion.
Hope you and Julia have some nice things planned for this coming week.
Hugs, Neet 2 xx

Hiya Jan, loving all the bright and zingy colours here. I know what you mean about not being able to stop with the Christmas goodies- been doing it all year!Lolled at the autocorrect- last night I was texting my daughter, and it took me a few minutes to answer her, as my phone went weird on me. So I typed 'sorry that took a while, was my phone being stupid'. She texted back- whats up, why are you in a wheelchair?- it had autocorrected while to wheelchair- how random is that? That'll teach me to proof read, lol. Love and Hugs to you all, Shaz xxxx

Hello Jan,

How nice to be reaquainted with your fabric scraps! There are great fabrics in the heap, but I especially like the cat one. I don't consider myself a "cat" person but that one really pops. The lace used on the tissue holders is beautiful - great job as usual.

Love the bunting too!

Have a great WOYWW week and weekend!

Oh, those bright colors certainly do pop. I like them a lot. I've seen tissues holders like these before, but none of them have the pretty accents you've added to these. It definitely gives them a little something extra!
And, your felt creations are really cute. Your red and white purchases also looked a bit like Valentine's to me also. But, that's jumping WAY ahead!! Have fun!

Happy WOYWW. I am loving all of the bright fabrics. I have just sold my sewing machine, as I was not using it and a box of haberdashery is off to the charity shop (I sold some, but it is just not worth my precious time to list it all for sale). I also have lots of fabric leftover. Would you like it? If so, send me your address and I will send a package to you. Ali x (ali@tarotfarm.co.uk)

We had 6 funerals. So glad mom is doing well again and I've had some fun time this week, even if it is catching up. Fun ornaments and great finds on your shopping venture. Have a fun week

Thanks for your return visit, Jan, and for your sweet comment! So glad you like my digital art. The iPad Pro and Apple Pencil combo is truly amazing and you soon forget you are not working on real paper! I am feeling better now, thank you, from my gastroenteritis - I saw the GP on Thurs. and I blogged about that. Unfortunately I have developed a hernia by my stoma which is the reason for the pain in that area. Not a lot to be done apparently, apart from extra support, which I am looking into.
