WOYWW 166

AND SO I'M THANKING YOU FOR BEING TRUE,
AND STANDING BY ME THROUGH AND THROUGH.
To say I was overwhelmed by last week's comments is a slight understatement! Thank you to everyone who wished me well on my birthday - it was fun, I was spoiled and received some fab prezzies :D
What a lot of pretties!! The bead 'suitcase' and some of these beads were from my boys and friends; well over 50% of what you see are recycled or from the £1 bargain necklaces I bought and dismantled. And the other side of the case...
The same mix of old and new... I had great fun sorting these out while Bradley Wiggins was winning Gold in the Time trial!! These shots would make great jigsaws, don't you think??
This tin is from my dear friend Helen from the band I play in...she knows me well *grin* She also made me this initial which I've put on my band bag...
Isn't it fab? There's even a mini tuba button on it!!  I think she should do these for craft fairs!! if you're interested, I can pass on her details....
And Morti made me this fab, funky, oh-so-steampunky tissue box - the detail on it is brilliant..
Love the mechanical dragonfly! Thank you so much, Morti - it's going to have pride of place in my craft room :D
I'm sorry but I don't have a desk shot this week as I've been away at my dad's and nothing got done...but this is the across-body peg bag in its finished state..
It's got a green spotty inside as a contrast to the stripes - seemed to work ok, I just hope the lady who ordered it likes it!
On the way down to Dad's, I took a detour off the M4 and met up with Sam (Hettiecraft). It was lovely to meet her in the flesh!
Funny and funky - I definitely know we'll meet up again!! And Fergus and Monkey of course :D And I was VERY jealous of her shoes!!
Aren't they fab?? Wonder if they do ones big enough to fit my great trotters? That's all folks, I really have to got to get my a**e into gear this week!!

Morning Jan!

I've linked you up for today, as Julia's been having fun and games.... LOL.... You're number 13 (ulp!) this week.

Glad you liked your pressie, yesterday was fab!

BJ said...

Jan just tried your WOYWW link and it went elsewhere! I was a tad confused so did last week's link and found you - phew! Loving the beads in the new case. So what band do you play in and what do you play - sounds cool and the letter is fab. The over shoulder peg holder is just the ticket if you ask me, sadly I don't have an outside line to require one. Yeah, have changed the link thing, so it's back on track. I think I've sussed the problem at my end, so we're all good! Love the bling tin, seriously, do you think Helen just told them about you and they though - aha, we'll make a tin!

Hey I've just been on Morti's blog and already seen the tissue box...great idea for a present. I have seen that tin and resisted buying it many times all their products have great little sayings, bought some for my daughter for christmas last year.

Fab birthday treats, well deserved! Those shoes are Allegria and whilst many are great for being wacky, they are the MOST comfy shoes I've ever had. Lots of Vicky Stampers ended up getting them after seeing and trying mine. I get them from Cheerful Soles on line. I first saw them on a lady at CHA and asked her the make!
Don't miss my blog candy and there's a bit of fun too.
Love joZarty

How lucky you were!
I love those shoes they remind me of Kickers. When I was young (I was once, you know) all the posh girls at my school had kickers and I was desperate for them but alas we weren't posh so I didn't get any! When I was older and had my own money I bought myself some Pods similar to Kickers but not the same.
I had a deprived childhood but when I told my dad that the other day he said, 'It made you grounded!'
Thanks Dad
Enjoy your Un Birthday Wednesday

it is my experience that arses do not have gears, they have airbags, specifically designed to slow us down and cushion our falls.

That is if you are a woman of substance

I suspect skinny dippers do not have bums like chunky dunkers,

Hope you Da is doing okay, take it easy Mrs Jan.

Oh my! The bead box is a great birthday present to help keep you organized for making your spankly fun creations. AND it would make a wonderful puzzle. Poppy and I just completed a birdhouse puzzle. She thought "if we build it, they will come," but we built the birdhouse puzzle but no birds came to see her. Great tissue box holder-just fabulous. It looks like you are having a fabulous time. Keep on keeping on!

It sounds like you had a fabulous birthday. Those beads are gorgeous. I could sit and play with them for ages. I dropped my case once and I spent two very happy days re-sorting all the beads. You are right about the photo making a very good puzzle.
I also like the design of the peg bag. So much more useful than my old one that tied at the back, and was always slipping down.

I have blog candy on offer so feel free to sign up to be in with a chance to win.

I'm late getting started this week. I blame it on the Linky snafu. I love that jewelry box. I was sorting buttons today and my box looked similar, but didn't have the cute decorations. Loved them. I'm number 22, but you know cause you've been there already.

Beautiful beads Jan! I had a dabble but lost patience when my first necklace got so tangled after I dropped it that I had to cut it - haha - didn't laugh at the time mind you, it took me four hours! I could've cried - so I'll buy my necklaces ready made from now on ;)
Love the peg bag!! :-D
I also love those shoes - where DID she get them? :0)
