WHERE IS YOUR WORKDESK WEDNESDAY??

50 not out.......

Thank you everyone for my birthday wishes - I had the BEST day, was thoroughly spoilt with prezzies and an amazing lunch - it simply could not have been better!!

I'm posting this from my holiday home...when I say 'my', I have to own up and say we've just rented for the week!!  Although, I would dearly love to own this converted barn, it's been so beautifully done out.  It's near Monmouth, so we've had some great days out exploring this lovely part of the UK.  My family have been staying to help me celebrate my Big Birthday and Mr and Mrs Dunnit are coming over too - hurrah!!

Anyhow, I was inspired to knit again after seeing some lovely wool on the blogs, so here is my knitting bag on the doorstep......

And here it is by the gorgeous window in the hall.  If I lived here, I'd have to have window seat cushions and then I'd never move from the spot again !! :D xx

And here it is by the back field, complete with view over to Llangarron.  There is a brook at the bottom of the field from which my OH and Son No 2 are attempting to remove some trout.  So that'll be a trip to Ross on Wye for our tea then!!

Thank you, Sam, for the shopping heads-up!!  Doughty's was fabby-licious :)

Have a good crafting week everyone!!

I'm impressed with the beauty of your country. This barn is beautifully done, too. Looks like your trip is filled with lots of beautiful memories, country views, and well wishers. I'm certainly one of them. Now that I've wished you a belated happy birthday, I can head for bed. After all, it's early morning nighttime here!

I love the travelling bag! That is a beautiful barn! ...heck it puts shame to my usual mental image of one! Hope the menfolk had luck with the trout (we fish the trout farm to ensure a catch). Hope the un-birthday tea was good as well! -Amanda

Glad you are having a lovely time and in such a beautiful spot too. Know what you mean about a window seat. Went to a friends the other day (first visit) and she has this amazing bay window seat, with cushions, and a view of the sand dunes. I could have sat there forever with a good book.
Thanks for sharing your desk - hugs, Neet #5

Oooh what a lovely place to spend a week away in, sounds like you're having a lovely time. Had to laugh when I saw your knitting bag "by the window" the grand scale of that window makes your knitting bag look like a thimble :o) enjoy the rest of your week. Thanks for sharing.

Happy Birthday! Celebrated my 50th in Norwich several years ago and my friends gave me an awesome garden party and chocolate cake! Lovely pictures of the country side. ours is burnt and parched from all the heat here. I just dug out my knitting again. These girls definitely lead you to try/do more. Sorry I am so late getting around but once again life has interfered with what I want to do! Thanks for sharing. Vickie

Belated birthday wishes to you - my 50th was my best birthday ever, a great age to reach, just wish I could have stopped there :) Your knitting bag seems to like the limelight so I expect we'll see it/her(?) again in the future. Vickie, our Okienurse, doesn't have to worry about being late getting around - I'm later still. Elizabeth x #73
