 CHICK CHICK CHICK CHICK CHICKEN,

LAY A LITTLE EGG FOR ME.......

Another week has whizzed past, a cold one too here in South Wales. The wind has been very keen indeed so I'm afraid I've been doing lots of things indoors!

I've got two craft fairs lined up in March so have been knitting more of the little chickens - bok bok! They're a good size to hold a Cadbury's Creme Egg, so hopefully they'll sell well in the run up to Easter. The eggs are safe from me, bleurgh, definitely not my thing at all!

I cut and sewed more syringe driver bags from the second duvet cover:

I liked both fabrics equally so used them both for outers and inners plus a bit from stash fabric for some handles. I got fifteen bags from each duvet cover, woohoo!

I've also been commissioned to do another string quilt for a boy, tricky one really as what patterns are suitable now won't be in five years time when the teenage grots start. So I offered to do some patterned and some bright primary colours in the hope that it'll stand the test of time.

I've used that navy space fabric as the middle strip on each square to give it a sense of cohesiveness.

I was spoiled on Valentines Day:

I love the colours in this bouquet, my absolute favs! I did a quick little painted card for G:

Which he loved! He said the look on 'his' owl's face sums up our relationship, he's forever wondering what mad thing I'm going to do next, lol!!

Hope you've had a marvellous week, the days are getting lighter, Spring is creeping up slowly.....wonderful xx

the "boy" quilt looks fab, I am sure it will be treasured. Love the flowers, and G's card is great!! It has been nice to see some sun this week (shame I've been at work!) Hope it lasts to the weekend ..... happy WOYWW Helen #2

I adore your owls in the Valentines card! I left chocolates round the house for B to find. I guess B says the same of me😻. I remember telling him I’d bought a space rocket off eBay and he thought it might come on a low- loader 😹. (It was a charm of the Friendship 7 rocket). On the subject of space, that space-themed border on your quilt is brilliant. The colours throughout are beautiful, very harmonious. Your chickens are cute too, but I’m with you on chocolate eggs, yeuch!
Happy WOYWW

Loving the chickens Jan. They are so fun and quick to knit. I chuckled at your beautiful owly Valentine. I'd say he is a perfect little owl and he does have a quizzical expression.😀 I'm so impressed with the duvet fabric. It really will make those bags a lovely cheery way to brighten someone's day in hospital.y x x Jo 🌈

Also love your Valentine card for G. So you - those owl faces are fabulous and I can see why it would be so well received.
Love the quilt you are on with at the moment, that navy fabric is fabulous as well as working so well.

Great forward thinking with the quilt Jan, it may go out of favour but imagine the joy when he has his own son! Absolutely love the bok boks - I bet they'll sell really fast, and I bet now you have the pattern in your head that they're coming off your needles like lightning bolts! Am heavy with cold (blaming the need to breathe in and out on the aircraft) and trying to avoid outside because it's still very cold isn't it! Very cheered by your beautiful Valentine bouquet, just perfect.

Love your Valentine's card for G, Jan - perfection indeed with the expressions. The navy fabric does a great job bringing together the quilt. Settling down for a leisurely desk visit after a lovely lie in. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah

Your little chickens are so cute, love them and the Owls and super cute! The string quilt is great too but I can understand your thoughts about the style of fabrics but I shouldn't worry, he can see badges on it if he wants to. Wishing you a happy woyww. Hugs Angela x14x
