WOYWW 557

FIND AN ISSUE, GET AHEAD,
GET IT SORTED, LIKE YOU SAID.

It's a short and sweet one today! All I seem to have been doing is sorting stuff.....

Mini purses all stacked up ready for sewing and every pair of scissors that I own seems to be out...why? I dunno, can't tell you why!!

But the eagle eyed regular visitors might have noticed a different machine...
My Janome was making 'Help Me' sounds so off to be serviced it has gone. And my WI mate Janet stepped into the breach by lending me hers! There's still stuff to be made and I couldn't be without a machine, so I'm very grateful.

And while the kitchen stuff is all back in, the contents of the sideboard in the dining room have to be replaced - it's where I keep the card making essentials but this lot is going to be weeded before being replaced. The charity shop in town is always grateful for crafting allsorts!

The sorting isn't just for crafting either - I recently took over as Librarian for my band..you wouldn't believe the state that all the music was in. I blooming well deserve a medal, it is going to take a long time but you gotta start somewhere!
I've already sorted it back into individual pieces, now I'm doing it into band order starting with the highest instrument (soprano cornet) down to the lowest (BBb Bass) then the percussion. This way I can check which parts are missing, so it may take longer now but will be worth it in the long run.

I may be some time..........

Hope you've had a lovely crafting week xxxxxxxx

If you want a job doing, give it to a busy woman.... god luck with the music! Great that you could borrow a machine while yours is fixed. I've never noticed any crafty kind of stuff in our charity shops here though I don't often go in many. Have a great week. Helen #awaited

Ooh you are brave taking on the music library for band Jan. I am sure it will be worth it in the end though. Hope it doesn't take too much of your craft time up. Happy WOYWW. Sarah #2

Good luck with the music sorting. Sounds like a labour of love, intense but very satisfying.
So both os us have had a day or so of sorting through things - you with your fabric pieces and me with the papers. Slight difference, yours will be put to good use, mine has just gone back (well some of it) to be looked at and stroked.
Hope the machine is doing well at the doctors.
Hugs, Neet 1 xx

That looks like a fab machine but you will still be so glad to get your own back all nicely serviced (arm and a leg job these days!) xx Jo

First thing I noticed, from the back, your machine looks different! Nice of Janet, or you’d be disappearing under a pile of unfinished and your teeth would be itching like mad! You’re definitely the gal for the job with the music sorting, I think you’re right to think it may take some time...ha ha ha ha ha ha, she says, almost hysterically!

Lots of love to you both, Hugs, Shaz #6 XxXxXx

It looks like you've got plenty of sorting to do but I have no room to speak. I love the sewing machine it looks quite compact. I'm guessing it's called jeans for a reason. Have fun! Wishing you a happy crafty woyww, Angela x12x

I sometimes have more on my desk at once... mostly cos the last pair I put down is undersomething.... my bermuda triangle is a special place for scissors...

Hi Jan, I didn't really notice your previous machine, but it is good to have a friend who can lend you a replacement. I already have a dpare of my own, but don't do anything like as much sewing ad I used to do.
Sorting out music seems a fun game, it shouldn't be rocket science for each musician to keep their own music organised, but clearly some people are completely incompetent.

Oh my, that's a big job you have on, Jan. Worse than sorting out my craftroom! I like the look of your 'new' sewing machine - the 'Jeans' name suggests it will be good at dealing with many and thick layers. Good luck with the music sort. Hugs, Elizabeth x #23

A Toyota sewing machine! Who knew? Looks pretty cool! You were probably the best person to take over as librarian, you certainly have the organizing gene! Thanks for your visit to mine today, and it has been great getting to know you as well!

Good luck with your band librarian job - that really is a challenge. I help to organise the music for church so can begin to appreciate the challenge. We have filled two filing cabinets full of music, but at least we don't have different parts - everyone works from the same music for each piece. Happy WOYWW. Have a lovely week, with love and God Bless, Caro xxx (#20)

Hope your Janome gets repaired quickly but how nice of Janet to loan you her machine! And I've never seen a Toyota sewing machine before! That's quite the sorting/purging there! And hope all the sorting of the music goes well. Looks like quite the challenge! Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful week!

You must be very happy to have full possession of the Jan Cave again! That's a bit of a bumber, the sewing machine going on the blink but thank goodness for kind friends who come to the rescue in your hour of need! It looks an amazing machine. I know someone who is librarian for her choir and it takes a lot of her time as well, not to mention the space all the music takes. It sounds as if you've got a good system to get organised.

Thank you for your visit, and my hubby laughed when I read out "If I fits, I sits" lol lol! How true! I'm glad you like my new pen case. I'm very pleased with it and it's going to work well for me.

Happy WOYWW,

I'm late , I'm late for a very important date.....sorry but I've made 5 Memory bears in last two days plus other urgent sewing jobs too and of course my customers must come first :-). I guess it's better late than never eh?
It's good to see I'm not the only one being kept busy and, like me, you don't seem to have the word 'no' in your vocabularly :-)

Are you finding the borrowed sewing machine easy? It looks impressive. Sorting out goes with crafting I think., helps to keep organised.

I wrote a long comment on Thursday and it wouldn't let me send it ( and it wasn't rude either!) Nice little machine there Jan - but you will no doubt be glad to get your own spruced up one back. xx Jo

Well, Lunch Lady Jan, I think you knew my mother, re band music.. she said often..if a jobs worth doing, its worth doing well.
Ah, so agree re scissors and needing attention noises. I was so glad I had my wonderful Bernette cleaned and serviced before the genius who'd done it since I bought in in 1990s retired. Its still hums which is wonderful!
Sorry for such late visit .. 😊
Thanks for sharing, and may God bless you.

Hi Jan. sounds as if you are the perfect Librarian for the band. You'll have everything so organized they won't know how they managed before you. LOL No wonder we're friends. Give us something to organize and we'll do it from top to bottom. Lovely machine. I know it's only on loan but a review would be lovely. FYI... my list is never finished LOL Just keeps getting added to/ replaced with new. KNow I'm late getting 'round but Bob came home on Thursday. CYA tomorrow Hugs Kelly #19
