YOU'VE GOT TO FINISH WHAT YOU STARTED...

The Crop and week away in Shropshire seems almost like a distant memory now!

I unpacked all the stuff that had been given to me (huge thanks to Wipso, Neet and Shaz) and had a sort out before putting it away. The fabrics that I bought are already on the desk as I know the cafe is running low on the stuff I make to sell there.

No stroking of new stash for me, straight in there with the scissors!

I picked the yellow lining in the end....

All the ATCs and little gifts from everyone are now on the Shelves of Shame! I did have a lovely time really admiring them before sticking them up.

And this was seen in person by a surprise visitor!

Catriona and Norrie had bought their camper van and were staying in the local park, it was lovely to see them again and have a proper chat. They'd been down the RNLI shop beforehand and Catriona very kindly bought some glasses cases off me with all the money going to the charity. Hope you had a safe journey back Catriona xx

The crafting-on-the-sofa project is the crochet that I took with me to the Crop (and didn't do a stitch...)  Well, it has grown a bit since then...

Now I've learned to crochet a bit looser, I'm actually enjoying working with this Caron yarn, the seaside colours are quite relaxing. I did think about doing a waves pattern but you have to count stitches all the time and this version is mindless - if ya know what I mean. Empty head space, don't have to think crafting!

To end with (I feel I can't say And Finally now, as that's Shaz's line, lol!!) here is a lovely pic that G took of a busy bee on the laburnham arch at the cottage we were staying at:

Hard at work gathering lots of pollen!  I hear that there have been murmurs about a Shrewsbury crop next year - if so, we may well book the cottage again, it was fantastic and we had a good rest there as well as doing some touristy stuff. The drive back through mid-Wales was stunning, it's a beautiful part of the world.

Hope you have a good crafty week, enjoy whatever it is you're getting up to!

WOW, I wouldn't call that shelves of shame. Shelves of love in my opinion. So nice to extend the crop idea with a visit from a fellow desker. And Gordon's photo is out of this world. It's so good to see bees as they are SO scarce in the states. Happy WOYWW from # 8.

The fabrics are fab.

How nice to have surprise visitors.

Your crochet is lovely. I've got a blanket on the go, but haven't done any for some time.

Loving the photo.

Jan it's taken me over an hour to read through your past WoywW blogs. Thank you so much they have enabled me to catch a snippet of all the latest gossip and see what an amazing time you all had at the crop. I was thinking of you all on the day whilst I was away on holiday. What a fabulous group of generous desker's, smiles ear to ear, warmest of welcomes followed by the photo booth and cake to finish! I'm already mentally saving my excess of fabrics for you as I believe i'll get to that crop one day.
Happy WoywW & thanks for sharing Hugs Tracey #3

Crop repeat next year?....only if folk want it :-) So lovely to see Catriona and Norrie dropped in on you....I just know you'd make her very welcome [and she said the Victoria sandwich was yummy]. I hope my few bits sell well and make lots of pennies for the worthy cause.

ps leg is still healing because of cortisone it’s going to be long slow, other one is also still healing, gla dit was surface Carcinoma.

If blogging will post WOYWW a day ealry next week, as having a tooth extracted bottom molar that had root canal that failed and has broken off so won’t prob be easy and will be feeling sorry for myself.
But that’s not now, sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof to quote full scripture 😊 so going to forget it for now!

Do hope those rumours come true as we can do it in the day if needs be.
Hope you will show us what you are going to make with all the stuff you got and I love how you have displayed your atc's. Mine went in my folder so they are out of sight sadly. Yes, it seems ages since we were all meeting - we need a weekend some time. The day is not long enough and this time i hardly spoke to anyone unless they were on my table.
Saw a different GP yesterday and he contacted Cardiology and they have given him a three point plan so hopefully the first idea will work and I will get well with the swelling quickly. He's my new best friend but I daren't tell you what I did and said to him. Oh no!
Hugs, Neet 1 xx

Hi Jan, starting at the end, love the photo of the bee is stunning. Sounds like the cottage was idyllic too. Your pick of fabrics are gorgeous - very colourful. So many fabrics, so little time. Like how you've displayed the ATCs, etc. You've made yourself a very nice memory corner. We've heard that romour too and if it's true we will be there again next year. Hugs, Elizabeth x #26

I love what Elizabeth calls your "shelves of love," Jan! So decorative and pretty, and every item a treasure made with love! Gorgeous bee photo too. As always, a lovely post full of variety and colour. I love that spotty fabric... Thank you for your visit. I shouldn't have to wait long now for the wheelchair - end of July, they say.

Gorgeous fabrics! Had a giggle of your stroking them.
And Shelves of Shame should be Shelves of Fame! Those ATCs are beautiful!
I make denim rugs at night and they are my empty head space time. By them my brain is too tired to think anyway.
Beautiful photo, your hubby is so talented!
Thanks for popping by and have a wonderful week!

Spanish inter web not coping with loading all your photos, I e got the first half of each one, and the rest I can imagine!, straight back into routine then missus, slaving over the old sewing machine...great that you were able to see Catriona again. The rumours would be fab, but no pressure at this point!! Chat when we get back. Xx

Thank you Jan for making us so welcome to your beautiful home and garden. The Victoria sponge was indeed yummy but your Bara Brith is still my favourite. We’ve finally arrived home for to see to the garden but weather permitting, we’ll be off again soon! Hope Team Shrewbury are going to organise another crop and next time we’ll stay longer but on a different site.

Hi Jan, your shelves are looking lovely. How wonderful to see all the ATCs and goodies each time you go in your craft room. I'll have to get mine on display somewhere. Memories of a wonderful day- but nowhere near long enough! How lovely to have a surprise visit from Catriona & Norrie. That's a lovely photo. Oooh another crop in Shrewsbury - it certainly was a lovely room. I shall look forward to it! Thanks for stopping by earlier - I've not toured all the desks yet, but mine will be in top 10 messy for sure. Only took the cards in to work today, so not sold many yet, but plenty of time!
