WOYWW 286

I'M IN LOVE WITH IT ALL,
I HAVE FREEDOM TO LOVE
IN HIDING....
(Genesis)

It's an odd one this week. I want to show you my desk....

But this is about the most you'll see as the things that I'm making at the moment are for Christmas prezzies and so I can't show them in their entirety because the recipients sometimes read this blog!  So I may have to place a few red herrings here and there to put the presentees off the scent!!  Just call me Miss Marple :-)  I'm messing around with an idea at the moment.

Pretty, girly, flowery....all the things I'm not, lol!!  But I'm enjoying playing around with these!

Checking out my frou frous for another prezzy  ;-) .....grin!

Fabric, lace, ribbons and beads....it doesn't take much to make me happy!  Can't show you this either - bet you're really glad you stopped by my blog, aren't you?!

I haven't played with my beads for a while, so really enjoyed this - they'll be more in evidence over the next few weeks as I intend to do some beady prezzies too. I love sparkly stuff.....

I can show you this though!! I'm going to a wedding on Saturday and wanted to make the bride a good luck charm to give her on the day.

The basic idea was an embellished heart. I don't know if you can make them out but there are tiny seed beads on the lace flower - they just catch the light and twinkle prettily.....
I had a lot of fun making this....more frou frou, you see!  Now all I have to do is remember to take it on Saturday.....

Have a great crafting week :-)

OOhh what a lot of mystery this week, but I like what you have shared so far. That wedding heart is gorgeous, the bride will be thrilled. The colours on the first fabric in your photos is bright and cheerful, a nice change from red, green and gold tha'ts going on in my house!
Enjoy the wedding
Have a happy week

Those fabrics look really good together - looking forward to seeing the finished items. Ooo, your friends are going to be very lucky this Christmas time - looks as if there will be some beautiful hand made gifts for them!
Love the bead stash... I may be a tiny bit jealous... perhaps I will go and play with the beads at the quilting/sewing shop in the village!
And the Bride's Charm is very pretty - I think I like your kind of frou-frou!

Love those hearts at the beginning - very goo idea to use those things - they look fab! The lace bits are not to be used, just to be hoarded and looked at (if they were mine I mean) - ooh! So after many oohs and aahs looking at your pictures I bid you a fond WOYWW day and say what a lovely lot of loveliness you have there.
Hugs, Neet 30 xx

That heart is so adorable, I put it on my Pinterest! You've inspired me to make one for my niece when she gets married this spring. Thank you dearest! Your sewing room is just a complete inspiration this week. Now I've got to get out my beads too! I'm going to give those reindeer some little beaded eyes. Oh what fun it would be if you could stop by for roast turkey, dressing, cranberry sauce and spice cake! I would type more, but I've got to get my bum into the kitchen and get this party started. Hugs soul sister! Sandy Leigh #54

Wow! So much prettiness. I love all those beads! I could just have a box of pretty beads and I would 'play' with them. In the UK lacemaking bobbins are very thin and need to be weighted down, so English lacemakers put pretty beads at the bottom of their bobbins. One day when I needed more bobbins weighted, a lacemaking friend invited me and got out this enormous box of beads! She taught me how to do it and I was in bead heaven. We had great fun and I remember it to this day (as it was a long time ago).
Thanks for sharing,
Have a great week,

ooh some lovely stuff there missus. Can't say what is my fave, but I may have to take a leaf from your book and make a heart this year. The one I bought is so stupidly simple (really, sewn, stuffed, one button thru the middle) that even I could manage it. And the way yours is decorated is so pretty. Maybe.... :)
Late again - darn that Blogger!

Happy happy WOYWW!

Hello there LLJ,

Oh, you are so funny! How can you not be a girlie girl and make the fun things you do with lace and baubles and beads?!? Maybe you're an underground girlie girl.....

The ONE thing you did share is gorgeous. I'm sure the bride will love it; what a special token for her very special day.

Thank you for visiting me already! Happy belated WOYWW

Hi Jan, didn't have time to join in WOYWW this week because I'm up to my eyes in present making too, and sorting out stuff in the craft room ... the 'if I haven't used it in a year, and I can't possibly see a use for it ever it's going' kind of sort out because, and I'm holding my breath here, the room is scheduled for redecoration in the new year :) The floral hearts are lovely - very colourful - and, as a frou frou kind of gal, I love all your pretty lacy trims. The heart is gorgeous and, yes, I can see the little seed beeds. The bride is going to treasure it as a lovely reminder of her special day. Hugs, Elizabeth xx

Haha, I loved all the things you didn't show us this week. ;-) Especially all the pretty, frilly & lacy stuff.

Sorry I'm late with my visits this week. Thanks for stopping by my blog earlier and for the nice comments.

Hmmm, now my curiosity is peaked on what you didn't show us :D I love lacy frilly things even though I couldn't get much further away from a frou frou kind of girl! LOL! That hear is really lovely, I've been thinking about making some filled with lavender buds to hang around my studio. In the winter it can get a little stale smelling in the house and it sure is looking like winter here in New Hampshire. We received 15" this past Wednesday... guess it was a birthday present from Mother Nature for my, gulp, 60th birthday! Have no clue how that birthday got here so fast!!! Yikes!

Oh i do love that so many of us cannot show our desks in full at this time of year! :-)

I will look forward to seeing your blog updates in the new year when you can show the gifts you are making (so I can steal the ideas for next years pressies!!). I hope the wedding was lovely on Saturday (I am late in visiting this week) and I am sure the bride loved her gift (so thoughtful of you).
