THE WINNER TAKES IT ALL......

Thanks to all you lovely lot who made me laugh with your inventive ways of getting Tootie Fruitie into your comments......but there can only be one winner and that is.....

*drum roll*

ANNE of COPPER BEECH CRAFTS!

Congrats Anne...please could you email your snail mail address to me and it'll be winging its way to you ASAP :-)

Right then, the desk....

You find me mid-bag, so to speak.....a tote for a teacher's present.  Hopefully the recipient will like the fabric...included is a tissue holder in the same fabric for the inevitable last day tears :-)

Top stitching...oh yeah.....it's gotta be done.

Julia surprised me with these little beauties - tiny metal hands with 'hand made' stamped on them. She knows I have a dislike of fabric tags/labels on my stuff, so found these to sew on to my bags etc. I've sewed one onto the bag above and it looks great. Cheers mate!

My brass band had a really busy weekend - this pic was taken of me by my hubby. I quite like it as you can only see half of me!! I'm not asleep, honest!  Just concentrating very hard on the music *grin*

Short and sweet this week....wonder if I'll get brownie points?!

Well if the recipient doesn't like the fabric she should be made to write out lines. Your bags are absolutely gorgeous in both design and fabric choice. Loooove the half pic of you... adds a bit of mystery to LLJ.

Ooh, I'm drooling over that fabric with the butterflies and birds on - and it looks so lovely with the matching checks - not that I need any more fabric but I just have to ask where you got it from!
That's a great photo - what a lot of puff you must have! Hope you have a great week,

We can tell you aren't asleep...because the tuba would be at a droop!! I think the fabric is a current bang on trend delight. Bet it goes down really really well.

Fiona@Staring at the Sea said...

That fabric is just gorgeous and I can't imagine the recipient not absolutely loving the bag. I have some of those little hands bought years ago now and not many left. I've just sourced some miniature sewing machines for another little project. Great pic of you with the tuba. Enjoy the rest of your week x

I love being visited by the Fruit Pixie! Those handmade buttons are brilliant.
PJ was impressed with the tuba photo - says 'that's a big mouth organ'!
No change here then .......

Love that tuba picture - very arty!! (I also prefer photos where I am not really in them....) Love that fabric but you now that because I have a tote in that colour. Now, seriously, how on earth have you missed out on GoT? I justlove it and the books are very good, my son husband and I have been reading them (I go last because I couldn't bear to wait the two months it takes them to read each book to talk about it!!). I think the tv series is brill as well, great production values and really well done. Obviously if you don't like historical fantasy probably not for you but do give it a go!! Happy Wednesday, Cindy #38

Lovely post, Jan, and great to see you making music! I love the little "hand made" hands - much, much nicer than fabric labels or tags. Thanks for your visit and your encouraging comment - it was absolutely great to get back into my ARTHaven yesterday and make a start on a card, and I have been in there again today, and have had to leave it to dry before I can do any more. I agree - I reckon I owe myself some "me" time after all the hassle with Mum lol!

Oh my goodness--I love seeing the picture of you playing! I love what you're stitching this week. I thought of you because I had to clean out my mother's whole sewing machine this weekend to sell it. Get this--Mom's sewing machine was called a Singer Touch Tronic 2005. In 1978 she paid over $800 for it! That was a lot. It came in a big beautiful oak cabinet and the doors opened up and had all these compartments and places for threads and storage--very nifty. I plugged it in, and it works great. Incredible. I would have loved to kept it for sentimental purposes of course--but Mom was very involved when I bought Violet, and that new sewing machine does make me think of her, so I don't have to keep that huge monster from 1978! I even found a commercial for it on YouTube. Crazy. I hope you are having a wonderful week soul sister. Hugs! Happy WOYWW! Sandy Leigh #53
