WOYWW 203

I SEE TREES OF GREEN, RED ROSES TOO,
I SEE THEM BLOOM, FOR ME AND YOU,
AND I THINK TO MYSELF....WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD...

Hello there, lovely bloggy crafters of the world! Hope you're all fine and dandy this Wednesday morning :)  Let's see what's occurring, shall we?
I'm in the throes of joining some scrap squares together for a project that I can't show yet, as the recipient definitely reads this blog and I don't want her to see! So, here's some teasers for you!
Ha! All will be revealed next week....oooh, the suspense...... *grin*

I have been a very fortunate bunny this week with TWO parcels arriving from the US!

A package from Sandy Leigh contained the cutest collapsible water sprayer, a felt needle book and a pot of buttons with a big ol' button top...it's sooooooooo cute!! I love it, my soul sister Sandy, thank you so much!

The other was from Deb... I squealed... a LOT!! Gorgeous fat quarters, buttons, pretty ribbons and a quilting mag! What a thoughtful prezzy, Deb, thank you so much. I will be using this stash addition to make stuff for my charity :-)

Another enormous surprise was this amazing artwork:

This is by WOYWWer Diana Taylor, of the Velvet Moth Studio. I had really admired it on her post the other week, because I adore both hares and spirals. I've really got a thing about them. And lo and behold...what should turn up but the print. Thank you so much, Diana...I'm completely bowled over by it and am going to get it framed properly then it hang it by my dining table. You are extremely clever and very generous...
I am one very lucky bunny!

And on my outdoors desk is this little lot....
Plug plants for potting on. That's going to keep me busy then! Honestly, I go to work for a rest these days!!!

Have a great week :)

Wow, who's a lucky girl then. All those pressies and your print is gorgeous. The spray bottle is really clever. We are into autumn and now is the time I plant out my vegie patch as it's too hot in summer! I cheat and buy the ready to plant punnets.
Have a great week.

You are welcome soul sister! We just love to share our joy across the ocean! Love your fabrics, and can't wait to see the gorgeous things you will whip up. Our weather has been insane here in the Ozarks. A few days ago it was gorgeous and in the 80's...a few rainy days, which is good...but now, in the middle of the night, there are some snow flakes out there! What? Craziness. But the weekend should be nice, and that's good, because my hubby is redoing our deck, and I'm very excited about that, and I need to start hardening off my seedlings. Well, I am up late, and must be off to bed now (we 52-year-olds need our crafty beauty sleep). Hugs and love to you dearest!! Sandy Leigh #42

What a lucky lady you are. I love that hare print, it's gorgeous.
You really are getting into the quilting, aren't you? I just ordered the fabric for the cot quilt I'm going to make. I just need to get some cuddle soft or minky now. Apparently, I'll be going to C&H fabrics on Saturday, they have a 20% discount sale. I'm off to a Vintage fair in Hartney Witney then to my Godmother's antiques barn in Eversley then finally to C&H!

Take care

Hello LLJ,

You are well loved! What wonderful presents!!! Even though I don't sew I can't help but look through the fabrics.

The plants are looking great! Unfortunately here there has been a turn towards colder weather (again) - even had a bit of snow yesterday. Ugh. I'm SO over it!

Thanks for visiting me already!

Hello LLJ, I just got back and whilst my infinitely better half was laid on the step dropping his feet into the water, getting belly frost bite from lying there to get the shot, i do believe he got the money shot of the Anthony Gormley @ winchester...and i thought of you... and as I got home to good ol' Derby I regret not calling you whilst we were so close and waiting a while so we might of had coffee.. still tis nearly crop time eh? and he needed to get home and put dry socks on poor love...

First, thanks for welcoming me back. It's nice to know that you and Julia talk about me. After all, I'm sure it was not in vain (or should that be VEIN!!)

I realize that is all new fabric, but I swear that looked like vintage floral. It is gorgeous and you have a great eye for color.

Although you had no way of knowing, I used your bunting at Christmas. I wrapped it around the table one of my trees set on. It was fantastic and I got a lot of compliments on it. One person even asked if I made it. Of course, I had to laugh. I sew, I tear fabric, I don't use patterns, I don't measure. Like I said, I laughed.

I have to agree about the Diana Taylor piece. It is simply STUNNING. I love everything about it, from the composition to the colors she used.

BTW, your outdoor desk looks rather busy.

I realize I'm a bit late getting here, but still wanted to wish you a happy belated WOYWW from #7.

I did the same as you this week, don't know how you escaped under the wire! What a riot on your work desk with so many goodies and lovely stuff. Lots of things in the making and also lots of treats for you and well deserved too. I must confess that I went out and bought sweet peas in pots today... I never had the heart to plant my own this year the way Winter kept it's grip on us.
