 I'LL BE MISSING YOU...

Last week was tough but it was heartwarming to read how Sarah had affected all our lives and how very much she'll be missed, she really won't be forgotten. I know her family were very touched by all the memories and condolences, there is a British Heart Foundation collection for Sarah in lieu of family flowers.

She wouldn't have wanted WOYWW  to grind to a halt though and so it's back to a more normal show and tell this week.

I had a very successful fair on the 3rd October and sold lots of the chocolate orange hedgehogs so there's been a run on making replacements. Also Ferrero Rocher versions too:

Every spare moment is taken up knitting something! These are Ferrero Santas, well the first stage anyway.

This is how he'll end up - the cat and dog need something on their collar to gussy them up a bit.

I have 60 chocolate oranges on my guest room bed!! They were 95p in Tesco, half price, so my RNLI crafting buddies were buying lots - it makes a big difference to the margins and profit. My friend Sue has been busy too:

Aren't they fun? The wreath is made from pipe cleaners and the angel is from macrame cord! I'm sure they'll be best sellers.

I've got to replace a lot of folding shopping bags that also sold well so I've dragged some fabrics out and am seeing what goes with what. That's this week's job!

And a small bit of loveliness happened, I saw on The Gift of Warmth Facebook page that someone was offering a pack of buttons free and I got them!

Aren't they pretty? They'll be so useful, the lady didn't even want any money for the postage, a lovely bit of positivity.

Hope you're all keeping well and happy, after last week it's even more important to make the most of every day and don't sweat the small stuff. Love to you all xxxxx

I started my post today with a similar sentiment about last week...

I love that knitted cat, as I have 3 of my own. Thanks again for letting me use your picture of Sarah to do a portrait. It was a healing experience for me. Blessings!

You really do it big time girlfriend don't you? We really chuckled at all the chocolate oranges. I wish I could knit more...but I can't so I've got to get over that one. I'm sewing and have even put a Christmas tree up yesterday in my sewing room to hang the decorations on that I've made for the charity :-) My problem is displaying it all and still having room to sew for my customers.
Hugs,
Annie x

Oh Jan, what gorgeous little knits. I have done a bit of knitting this week but taking it steady due to my wonky shoulder. It's nothing really but slows me up - not like me! Thank goodness for crafty activities. They certainly keep us going at times like this. I did chuckle at the boxes of choc oranges - I've contemplated the same myself! x x Jo 🌈

That is a lot of choc. oranges. I would have to lock them up at our's or they would disappear for sure. I love the knitting nearly as much Lol! I am considering more sewing at the moment though the C. Cards are taking up my time right now as I have a class to organise for the beginning of November so need to make sure everything is ready for that first. Happy woyww with hugs, Angela x11x

Your knits are gorgeous, no wonder they sold well. How nice of your Gift of Warmth correspondent to offer the buttons for free!
You’ll match your fabric well with your great eye for colour.
Happy WOYWW

Oh wow, you have been busy - the little knits are gorgeous, I bet they fly off your stand. Great find with the buttons, they are lovely colours and look like they'd work well with most of your fabrics.
Hope you have a lovely week,

Golly this chocolate oranges were good value - and I don’t like them so they’d be safe on my bed too! Looks funny to see such a haul. Am loving the Christmas decorations, you really are prolific! Just said to Helen that it has really been useful to be able to just take your mind somewhere that needs you to concentrate on what you’re doing over the last ten days or so.

I have to confess ... the chocolate oranges would NOT be safe in our home πŸ§‘πŸ˜†πŸ˜πŸ˜‹ like magic they'd... vanish ... I can almost taste them πŸ˜‹πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜

I've missed your pretty fabric photos ... loving the zesty splashes of colour ... you're going to be busy πŸͺ‘🧡

How lovely that was with all the pretty buttons and so kind .. you will I'm sure make them into something gorgeous ✨️😍

Ahhh ... your words so true at the end ... ones to remember and live by.
Thinking of you and sending the best of wishes ✨️ for the days ahead πŸ’–with love and hugs Tracy #14 xxxx

Are there any chocolate oranges left in south Wales or are they all in your spare room?? I made a crocheted penguin last christmas that had a choc orange up it's front for Freya. I bet your characters sell really well. Love the santa with the colourful cord hat. When I read buttons I nearly had to look away, yes I'm one of those funny folk, but these were ok, wooden and cute. How lovely people are.
Have a good week. Will be MIA next week as off on our travels.

Happy post-knitting WOYWW catch-up
Yesm above all, Sarah would have loved seeing WOYWW carry on - she was such a star, stepping in when Julia needed the break so we honor her, in a way, but just carrying on, I think. Glad the fair went will, but OMG! those oranges!! SO many. And great score on the buttons. I really do need to figure out a way to get back to charity knitting but I have two sweaters on the go and a whole knitting class series to accomplish. There is just not enough time in the day for me - and yet, somehow, you seem to find it....

I don't think I've ever seen so many Chocolate Oranges in one spot!! Certainly a stocking toe stuffer in our family! What a great buy. All of your knittings are very cute, but I especially like the cat! Don't forget to make all colours because people will want to buy "their" cat! I love your friend's wreath, would look very pretty on the tree! Have fun making more bags, I'm glad they are selling so well! πŸ‚Lindart #16❤️

You have been very busy Jan, you do so much for the RNLI. Had to chuckle at the chocolate oranges. My friend makes various covers for them at Christmas (and the ferrero rocher) so we are always looking out for a bargain. They go like hot cakes!!
Have a good week, love n hugs Cindyxx

I went to a 'Euroshop' today which sells all sorts of imported goods - now I know where I could get some chocolate oranges if I need some! We stuck to buying some tinned mushy peas, Eccles cakes and Atora vegetarian suet. Funny the things you miss!!
