IF YOU GO DOWN TO THE WOODS TODAY.....
Hi there lovely Deskers, hope you've had a good week with lots of crafting being done xx Best wishes to Neet, whose birthday it was yesterday, love and hugs to you, hope you're doing ok.
It's been a sorting out few days for me, I've not done that much sewing:
Hence the tip that is the JanCave! I was asked to provide some photos of my stock for advertising for the Craft Fair I'm at on Saturday - that's why my 'wood' backgrounds are out and the little shelves.
And then I started sorting out all the strips I'd chucked into boxes in preparation for another quilt. I know I should do it as I go along but it never happens..... anyway, it's all done now.
From strips to squares...I'm working my work through my DK yarn for another charity blanket. It's mindless stuff but perfect for telly watching crafting! I like this colour combo a lot.
But the main reason for not crafting that much is the arrival last Sunday of our older son Owen who couldn't come at Christmas due to being really poorly with Covid or flu. We were really happy to see him and as a laugh we had a postponed Christmas dinner complete with crackers and Pud after exchanging some presents!
And played stupid games afterwards!
We've been dodging the weather to get out for walks and went down to our local country park:
There's bears in them there woods! Owls too...
I could happily have this in my garden for sure but don't have a backpack big enough lol!!
Take care all you lovely lot, I may be late commenting as we're off to Tenby today as it's the nicest day of the week xx

Oh what fun to have your delayed Christmas! but you didn't put the tree up.....:) Hope you have a good day in Tenby (it's wet here today again) Happy WOYWW Helen #1
Lovely post Jan, especially that pic of you both with your boys! You certainly keep busy with all your crafty fun and those colour combos in fabric and yarn are fab. Enjoy your day in Tenby.x x Jo 🌈
Aw lovely Christmas in March photos. Glad Owen is well now, sounds like he had it really bad. We have Narnia carvings in our local woods complete with a wardrobe of hanging fur coats you can walk through! Adore the square colour combo, a certain feast for the eyes - great sorting too and love the little photo booth area. Hugs Bj#3
Determined to do better than last week!! Nicest day isn't saying much LOL! That last week of lovely weather was a ruse by Mother Nature to trick us all into thinking spring had sprung. Lovely seeing your late Xmas - we are doing a combined DS, Pretty Girl and The Hubster's birthdats and Mothers day this weekend. Shame the gift for DS will be less useful in warm weather (electric foot warmer for his Raynaud's) but oh well... Love the colourful squares. Going to be a stunning blanket when done!
Happy pre-knitting WOYWW!

A 2nd Christmas lunch looks good. I would like to have that owl bench in our garden too. Enjoy Tenby - definitely the brightest day here as well. Ali x
Love the photos….such a lovely family. Your wool colours are gorgeous…good enough to eat. Do you cut all your strips the same width?
Hugs,

We all have to sort out some times and pleased you had a good week. I love the owl seat. I'm sure if you photographed him someone could make one for you as we often see them making things like this at the country shows. Happy woyww, Angela x9x
I love to see you all together again, and that you’ve had a rescheduled Christmas. I’d definitely find space in my garden for that owl seat. I’d take a picture with tape measures next to each axis so someone could make one for you.
Lovely colours in your knitting and good luck for this weekend’s craft fair.
Happy WOYWW

Dear Jan! Visiting your blog is always like holidays for me.
I enjoy your craftings so much. And congrats to the visit of Owen. What a lovely idea to make a postponed Christmas dinner!
Hugs to all of you. Eva from Austria.
“You’re sure of a big surprise “. I’d say that bear was pretty big! Love the celebration photographs. Hugs Angela #10
Hello there my lovely! Hope you had a nice time in Tenby. I don't know where Helen was today but it was quite lovely here, a bit fresh but quite a bit of sunshine and definitely no rain! She's not that far away from me. What lovely family photos - and I love a Christmas dinner! I know it's just a glorified roast but well that's my favourite too. Great bear and a lovely owl, yes could definitely find garden space for him. Love that photo he looks so cool lol. I don't think he could get away from me on that - it's pretty slow and the battery would probably run out before we made it to the park!! Good luck for Saturday and have a great week. Love and hugs Cindy xx
Sounds like you had a lovely Happy Christmas! Great family photos! What a fun walk to find the bear and the Owl. I asked my hubby to guess where you were, he said Grizzly National Park? I said Wales. He said he never would have guessed that! Have fun making your new quilt, there are some great strips in there! ❤️Lindart #13
Love the idea of a belated Christmas dinner Jan. Some fabulous wood sculptures on your walk too. Quick visits at Mum's. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah
