 YOU GOTTA HAVE FRIENDS...

Hi everyone, welcome to another week of desky nonsense and goings on. Link up over at Sarah's if you want to see what all the other Deskers are getting up to as well. Talking of which, Neet is in Cardiology in hospital where they're trying to reduce the oedema in her legs, poor thing has had Covid as well. If you're reading this Neet, we send you huge hugs and hope you're home very very soon xx

It's been all go this week. I've been using up some fabric to get stuff made and ready for fairs:

The chickens are on the rampage again!

This fabric makes me smile, it's always popular so hopefully this lot won't hang around for long!

I had to take some publicity shots of my crafts for the upcoming big fair on 13th November, so I set up the JanCave like a mini studio:

And set to....I did enjoy making the photos fun!

Those gnomes look like a gang of heavies don't they? And as for the rest, well frankly there's been too much Gluhwein swilling around lol! Thanks to all the fab RNLI crafters who have been working so hard, they've been stalwarts.

My mate Sue bought a few things around yesterday to add to the pile:

Animals made from face cloths, they're sooo cute!

Baubles made from fabric...

And the most beautiful and delicate macrame angels. Thanks Sue, you're so clever, these will look amazing on the stall at the next few fairs xxxx

I send items off to a Ukraine Charity, some are used to make bags of toiletries or shoe boxes to be sent out in humanitarian convoys, others are sold to buy necessary goods to fill those bags and boxes. Yesterday I found that some items had been bought and sent away....to the Falkland Islands!! My stuff has gone round the world but this is a first. Thanks to Ali, the UK Co-ordinator for letting me know this has happened, it made my day!

Hope you all have a great week xxxx

Isn't the crafting world such a positive force for good Jan. Well done on all your crafting. The photo shoots looked like fun, though the gnomes look a bit rebellious 🤣 x x Jo 🌈

You really have been busy and have so much to sell for charity. It's so exciting to know your things have benefitted folk around the world too....they might meet up with some of my bears :-)

Goodness me! Such a lot of stuff and all so adorable. That tassel angel is a new one on me. But the gnomes are my first love for sure. That chicken fabric is to die for - My FIL's bluegrass band has an album called Chickens In the Yard and that prompted them to receive about 1 million chicken related items over the years - they'd kill me if I revived that trend.... Heading off for a hospital appt. but Happy WOYWW

Well done they are all brilliant, you are going to do so well at the fair. I just popped back to my post as you reminded me that we made skiing Gnomes at the craft club Saturday so I've popped him on my blog. Happy woyww with hugs, Angela x9x

You gotta have friendsssssss, it's in my head now. You are the world's friend, your charity outreach is amazing Jan, I think you're allowed to be proud of your achievement. The Falklands. Blimey, bet you'd happily take them there to see and explore. Brrrr. I love the chicken fabrics...do you have a fold up shopper in that fabric? And oh the photographer in you is so good, I just love the arrangements...I'm with you on the gnomes, the collective noun should be 'potential riot'! Really lovely cheering displays Jan, you and your friendsss are very clever.

What a brilliant display. I absolutely love the mice, if you would let me know how much for two plus postage, I would love if you sent me two, if at all possible. Happy WOYWW, Angela #10

Love your background for the photos-I usually end up with a cardboard box and my daylight lamp! Lots of lovely makes and hope they will sell well. Catriona

Wow, your stalls will be full of fantastic Xmas makes from you and your elves 😹. Thanks so much for the rooster bag you’re making for Alexia.
Those flannel animals and the string angels are beautiful and I think you should have a banner, “Sold from the Falklands to Ukraine.”
Happy WOYWW, hugs, Lynnecrafts 7 xx

Dear Jan!
It's so lovely to browse on your blog. So many adorable Christmas stuff, nice fabric and good news. (Ukraine).
I wish you all the best for the next fair.
The back ground for taking photos is so cool!
