OH I WISH IT COULD BE CHRI............

(Nope, can't do that quite yet........!)

Sorry about the lyric today but you'll see why it came to mind in a bit! Joining in with lovely Deskers around the world at Sarah's, it's always inspiring to see what everyone else is creating.

The temps have calmed down so I'm much happier! Funnily enough I've not done much sewing in the past week though I did finish off the cross body bags from the gifted curtain fabric:

Horizontal and vertical beachy stripes! They actually do work really well, I'm hoping to sell some at the Pembrey market this Saturday.  I did do some sorting of strips as I may do another quilt now I have sufficient:

I've tried a few ways of sorting but this method based on length seems to work well for me - I do like creating order out of chaos, in fabric anyway lol!

Most of the crafting has been in a festive knitting theme. I had a few RNLI friends pop around yesterday to pick up patterns/yarn/embellishments for the craft fairs later in the year:

That way I could keep a list of who's making what so we don't end up with too many of one thing. It's so nice that everyone wants to be involved and it means I don't have to make so much. It's the non knitty stuff to organise next. I had made a few samples to show:

The first snowman encouraged his mates to come along.....

And I wouldn't trust this lot either!!  The folks have now got sufficient time to make up stuff as things get busier in October and that's really not that far away.

Another nice session in the dining room was a long overdue catch up with Lynnecrafts!

Great pic! We had a good old chat whilst Lynne crocheted a chicken and I knitted a mouse....as you do! Isn't it lovely that you don't really have to explain that last sentence? Everyone just knows what you're on about *grin*

Have a fab week everyone and have fun. You bored with retirement yet Sarah??! Lololol xxxxxxxxx

Oh you must tell the name of that stand! It looks so useful for all my Zoom classes. Love the alternating stripes on those bags, and the snowman orange covers are so cute! Did you see, in the past, the plain black ones I did with just the tag about a piece of coal? VERY simple, and a cute idea. It's all about the tag really :)
Happy Knitting Day WOYWW!

It's a bit cooler here today too but the sun is coming out again so I'm not holding my breath. You're right about it soon being October once we reach August the months seem to shoot past. I need to get back to making some Christmas cards again, I still send them. Happy woyww, Angela x10x

Great bags, Jan, they look very summery. They also went very well as gifts at Alexia's birthday. It was quite surreal to see her as Marie- Antoinette, with cut throat, a cockerel under her arm and a Welsh flag bag! I’m glad your RNLI friends are helping with stall items. Happy WOYWW

Gorgeous cross body bags. I must make something similar that can go on a belt of sorts for when I go out walking and don't have a pocket for my phone!! Need to find a belt first LOL...I usually carry my phone but with my hand going numb so quickly I just can't cope right now. Love your strip sorting. Adore your Chrimbo samples and the pattern etc organisation. Chicken and Mouse face time whatever next? Don't forget that Meekness is actually Strength in Control Hugs Bj#6

Hello Jan, busy as ever! That donation just keeps giving!! Love the crossover bags.
Love your scrap sorting. Always so satisfying when you can use up little bits n pieces.
Great you had a chat with Lynne, we should do that sometime.
I know some people will be horrified talking about Christmas but I'm itching to have a play especially as I have some new goodies!! It is in my plan to start this month but it's nearly over lol! Have a good week, love n hugs Cindy #12

I would like to know about the stand too, I have already bought the normal type, but yours looks better. I have been asked to do a couple of classes and I have been thinking how to do the filming part. I am glad you have some helpers for your craft stall. Hugs Angela #12

I think you need to put details of your stand on your blog next week, so many will be hankering after one.
Love your organising the "crew" in readiness for Christmas. The orange snowmen are so stonking cute and I love all the other little fellas. Not forgetting those cross bags - the striped fabric works so well and I love the polka dot straps.
You really are a national treasure.
Saw a doctor this morning (call from surgery out of the blue re the swab) but couldn't catch what he was saying due to his heavy Asian accent (or was it because he was so good looking - like a TV star) Ankle is now awaiting a call from a microbiologist. Well, I am waiting for the call.

Dear Jan!
Oh how lovely - it's Wednesday again and I can visit your blog.
You're so busy! I like the cross body bags. And the stripes you sorted. The snowmen for the orange ball are so cute!
And chattering with a friend is always good for heart and soul.
Best wishes! Eva from Austria.
