WE GOTTA GET OUT OF THIS PLACE....

It's been another week of beautiful weather again, not that I've seen a huge amount as I've been laid up with a nasty cold. Hey ho, I'm on the mend now, which is just as well as we're away for a week from Friday.

I've been kicked out of the JanCave! Mind you, there's a good reason:

Son No 1 is working from home here for a week before we all head off on our hols! I'm loving having him at home so I'm not complaining too much xx

My cutting station has moved to the dining room!

It's a useful old table this!

And the ironing is now taking place by my bedroom window:

Not a bad view really! I just hope my neighbours don't think I've turned into a curtain twitcher, lol!

The knitted blanket is almost completed:

It's been my go to when feeling crummy and I've been sitting watching the telly. Pretty ice-cream colours aren't they? This King Cole Cherish yarn is beautiful to work with, really soft and smooth.

I forgot to share this pic last week, I've been making more cross body bags and zipped purses to have more variety on the stall:

I'm not that keen on the cat pattern but people want that sort of thing and this was a remnant so worth a try!

Finally, we were sorting out a box from the attic and I found my old school photo - see if you can guess where I am!

I'm second row down from top, far left! The nice thing is that I'm still in contact with all the girls to my right, apart from the two next to me. That's rather fun, I'd like to say we haven't changed a bit....those were the days eh?!

Hope you have a great week, I've got to get my WOYWW 16 anniversary stuff organised this week cos I'll be away when writing my blog next Wednesday. Hope I can sort it out!

Until then, keep well and enjoy your crafting xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Oh no - nothing like a cold for making you feel rough. Hope it clears up before you set off for your family holiday. It will be lovely for you all to be together and in a beautiful place too. Hope the weather is nice for you.
Lovely to see no 1 son , must be an added bonus having him at home with you before the holiday.
Love the cat bags, cannot see what it is you don't like about them, kunless you are a non cat person. They will certainly sell to cat lovers.
No, I didn't guess which was you. Lovely to see you though when you were younger. That might be nice to do one time, all put up a picture of us when we were at school or something.
Special get well hugs, Neet 5 xx.

Sorry to hear you have a cold, but I’m glad you’re feeling a bit better. It’s good to see Owen’s home and I hope you enjoy your week away with your 3 boys 😀.
I’m sure your cat bags will appeal. Your ice cream blanket is lovely too. I would have put you at the left of the 3rd row from the top. Long hair, that looks blond in a b/w photo?
Sending hugs that you get well very soon- keep drinking honey, lemon and ginger!
Happy WOYWW

Dear Jan!
Kicked out of the JanCave! But what a wonderful reason!
Greetings to son no 1! You did your best with moving into other rooms. The blanket is so nice! I really appreciate the colors.
And I LOVE the cat fabric from tha bags and purses.
Wonderful memories - with the old photo.
Keep on the mend.

Pleased to hear you're feeling better ready for the trip. That looks like a good reason to give up the Jan cave for a while. I love your photo. Just a while ago I was on-line looking to see if there was anything about the village where I used to live as a child and there it was a photo of me as Dick Whittington. Someone must have photographed it all those years ago and put it on the website. I was about 15 yrs at the time. Have a good woyww, hugs Angela x10x

Sorry to hear about the cold, hope you are fighting fit by Friday. Yes lovely to have #1 home. Love the views from your new locations all green and sunny. That blanket yarn is amazing the way changes the colours, super job. Love the crossbody bags but think I'm with you on the cat fabric though. Nope didn't find you, super photo lovely that you are still in touch as well. Hugs BJ#1

Hello Jan, you will be setting off on holiday today. I hope you are fully recovered from that cold and ready to have a wonderful time. I love the cat fabric - but then, I have to or Silver would never forgive me. I think the bags will sell very well too. I didn't pick you out of the line-up in the photo but that's typical of me. I was shown a school form photo recently and didn't recognise myself in it! Enjoy your holiday. Hugs, Elizabeth x #14
