IT'S BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE.........
Hi there all you lovely Deskers! Another week of sharing our crafty goings on around the world, hosted by Sarah in her Craft Shed. Join in, it's loads of fun and very inspirational xx
It's been a full week again, that's for sure! Last Saturday saw me at the first craft fair of the season in a very nice village hall in deepest, darkest Carmarthenshire.
There were some very high end crafters there so I was the cheap and cheerful stall, lol! I made £156 though so was very pleased with that.
It's my turn to have a stall at the Llanelli branch of Dunelm this Friday - my slot was advertised on FB by the Dunelm co-ordinator:
I supplied the pics and did the business card but it looks quite good. Oo-er, getting excited now, wish me luck! I won't be on my own the whole time though, I have a rota of friends who are coming to help as it's a long day.
I bought a new bit of display for my stall:
These folding ladders will be very useful all year round and lifts up the items to eye level. I haven't knitted all these things, some willing 'volunteers' from the RNLI shop helped, lol!
I have been enjoying my new machine as well though, still discovering new things all the time. I love the extension table, it really stops larger pieces from falling off the edge of the desk:
It is so useful! I've started making a cot quilt for friends of my son who are having their first baby early next year:
A mix of some layer cake squares and my own fabric, I like the soft colours..
Some silver grey sashing and a darker purple border possibly, dunno, these things tend to alter as I change my mind *grin*
And that's it for now, it's a busy week ahead but a fun one, hope you enjoy it too xxxx

Another cheery desk share that brightens a snowy winter's day. What a great result for your stall Jan and of course, you too are a high end crafter! The quilt fabric combo is lovely and will make good use of your fabrics too. A great idea to add your little shelf/ladder to your stall and your little knitties look very happy perched up there.😀 x x Jo 🌈
Well done on the stall, and good luck for the one ahead! I love those pastel shades of fabrics at the end of the post. gorgeous. Happy WOYWW Helen #2
Oh well done with the fund raising Jan. The stall looks amazing and the new display shelves are fab. Love the soft tones of the quilt too. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah
A lovely mix of colours on that quilt and sure to be an heirloom. You did well - I think sometimes cheap and cheerful is what brings in the cash. I'm sure the RNLI appreciates your hard work!
It's WOYWW day!

Your stall looks very professional to me no wonder you did so well. The RNLI are very lucky to have someone like you. Love the new machine especially the extension table, very useful. Take care and have a good woyww. Hugs Angela x11x
Well done on the money raised my friend. You really are looking amazing with your weight loss [not that you didn't before of course ;-)]. Good luck with your next venture.

Yours would be the stall that attracted most attention I would think - so colourful and easy on the purse. Well done and good luck for the next one at Dunelm. The advert is good and just think how many now know of Jan Appleton the whizz kid from Burry Port.
Love the display ladder and the big table for the sewing machine. Enjoy all the new things you find as you use it.
Hugs, Neet 1 xx
Hi Jan, that’s a lovely palette in your quilt, you’ve such a good eye for colour. I hope your Dunelm pop up goes really well; it certainly deserves to. I’m all for bringing the merchandise up to eye level. And yes, Bella always wins in our house 😻.
Happy WOYWW

Dear Jan!
YOU NAILED IT! Congrats to the result of your first stall. I love the photo of your presentation. You're looking cool my Dear!
The foldig ladder is really useful. And I love the colors of the
quilt. They make me calm. Maybe the baby too??

Love you new ladder. Great display item, decorate it for Christmas and put chocolates and mince pies for your guests! I have seen them used for ornaments too. Love your angels and Feroche knitted covers from last week. Well done on your sales on your display and best luck on the next one. Angela #10

Wow you have been busy. Congratulations on your craft fair, your stand looks amazing! and wishing you all the best for Friday too. Your display stand looks marvelous too, a lot of hard work.
I can see you've also been very busy with your sewing machine too and your cot quilt is looking beautiful. _ Michelle x #16
Congrats on all the work you are doing for the RNLI! That cot blanket is going to be lovely! Happy WOYWW if belatedly! Susan #5
Oh my a tad behind this week, what’s new! Been contending with a bad back this week, horrendous in the mornings tapering off during the day then the textile retreat starting at 4pm each day has taken over… Anyway better late than never…
Adore the soft colours for the quilt but the machine table extension has to be the best bit. My first machine was a singer which came in it's own table which had a similar effect. Love the ladder display, perfect. Hope it all went well. Glad you liked the Calico Cottage, thought you might, I've had a textile week which has been great fun, more to show next week.
