 ALL KINDS OF EVERYTHING...

It's a shorter post this week you'll be relieved to know! Though it was lovely to hear everyone's memories last week that all those photos brought back xx

It's a mixed bag on show today - I've been making a few more things to take to the first Christmas Fair which is in deepest darkest rural Carmarthenshire, an area of farming and first language Welsh speakers.

I thought this daffodil fabric could maybe go well at the fair.

I did two sets each of the green and black linings, then wrapped up the sets in a nice ribbon.

I'm doing the same with this doggy fabric, for the same event.

Hopefully these will appeal and if there's any left over then they'll probably go down the Harbour Lights Tearoom, which is dog friendly and a captive audience, lol!

You may want to avert your eyes for this next pic......

The Christmas stash has resurfaced! I'm taking a table at the Christmas at the Boathouse event in December, held in the RNLI down at the harbour. I'm just having a quick look see to check how much of everything is available. I've delegated the knitting of the Ferrero Rocher choccy covers (Mini Santa and Elf Hats, Christmas trees and puds) to some willing volunteers from the fundraising team so those little pompoms in the bag will come in handy for that!

My evening crafting is the sewing up of squares to make a blanket that will be going out to Ukraine. A job I love sooooo much, as you all know... but it's for a good cause:

Only seven more rows to do....

Hope you have a wonderful week, may your crafting be snag free xxxxx

Your fabric choices are perfect Jan. I love the daffs one and I am sure they will go down well in deepest, darkest Carms. Have you got patterns for your pud covers? I fancy knitting a few elf hats this year. xxx Jo 🌈

Hi Jan, You know your audience! Your foggy and daffy makes will go down well in deepest Carmarthenshire. I’m glad you’ve got some help with the crochet. Da iawn! Love your blanket for Ukraine.

Love the colours of the Ukraine blanket.
I think you have chosen the fabrics well for the show in deepest farming country. What about some of your hen fabric as well? Must say I prefer the black spotty fabric for the linings, it stands out against the strong daffs.
Don't apologies for the lengthy post last week. It was a joy to read and it must have taken you ages to research and put together. In fact I've been back to re-read during the week.

You are such a busy and charitable lady. Knitted blankets go well almost anywhere - including it seems with elderly elephants who feel the cold! I saw an article yesterday including two photographs of elephants wearing their blankets. Happy WOYWW. Angela #12

Avert one's eyes indeed! Sadly, tis ever the lot of the crafter to be months ahead of what's going on. Those daffodil spectacle cases are rather spesh though.

back again.. Mattints are a transparent glaze from Paperartsy and you can blend the colours and add layers to make them darker... I'll try and play at the weekend to share more next week!!

Was only thinking today when will the daffs be available in the shops for spring and then arrive at your desk and see a plethora of them. Gorgeous fabric so bright and cheery, hope you are brushing up on your Welsh for the Fair! LOL Diolch! Don't worry eyes averted at the next bit and super blanket... Hugs BJ#10
