ALL THE COLOURS OF THE RAINBOW...

Hello lovely Deskers, hope you are keeping well and happy on this weekly link up around the world at Julia's

I've been having a lot of fun with the new fabrics, I just couldn't wait to get stuck in.

So the gorgeous pastel rainbow got cut up into the usual things plus a peg bag... I could have paired it with a few colours for the lining but pink made me happiest!

And the little rainbows worked out well too. I'm hoping to do a table at a fair soon, that's why I'm getting a few extras made.

I could go one of three ways with this fabric/lining combo as well! Which would you pick?

My mate Kim asked if I could help put a strap on a parasol she got in Rome recently. It was an interesting problem but in the end I made a fabric strap and used plastic poppers to attach it through the nylon which was quite fragile. G had to hold the open parasol while I wrangled the poppers, it was definitely a 2 person job!

I only had one small strip of that orange fabric left in my quilt strips box, so that was handy!! Hope Kim is pleased with the result.

And one final rainbow:

I spent my birthday Hobbycraft voucher well, lol! That should keep me going for quite some time....

Got a busy day today, so I may be late returning comments - have a lovely day!

You really HAVE given us a rainbow of color this week. I think the yarn is gorgeous and I love the oastels and rainbow fabric, too.I can see why you like that fabric.

You (and your helper) did a fantastic job on that parasol. Happy WOYWW. No number yet. I'm a bit early for a change.

What a lovely rainbow fabric, but the WI yarn makes my heart sing. I do love the stuff and the colours...wow! Well done on the parasol - funny, I needed some burnt orange fabric to cover a window topper thingie when the board that was up there fell down (luckily not when we had 8 people for a brisket BBQ that had to relocate indoors in that room!!) and I only had very bright orange and the fabric store I went to was no help either. So for now, it's all still looking pretty bare. Ah well. Orange never seems to be the "popular" colour...
Happy desk-hopping day!

Busy woman as always, Jan. I would use the green dots with the starry fabric as that must appeals to me. Happy sewing. Catriona

Your rainbows post is bright and cheery today! I like the lemon contrast best. You’ll do well on a stall with all those goodies!
Your wool rainbow is glorious too. Having all those colours in a blanket would be stunning. I saw one recently done in C2C crochet (corner to corner), that had strips of different colours all through it. C2 C is easy once you get your head round where to put the second block, and it builds up quickly.
Take care and happy WOYWW

Hello my lovely, as usual an explosion of colours on your desk, never mind rainbows!! I would go for the green with the stars. I missed your birthday (AGAIN). The only consolation I have for you is you are one of many this year, don't know where my head is at. Hope you had a lovely day and were thoroughly spoilt - I am sure you were! Happy WOYWW, love n hugs Cindyxx #13

Love the pastel rainbow fabric and it makes uap so well, but so does the rainbow one and I love the blue lining used on the latter. Bet the pastel rainbow sells out in no time.
I love love love the star fabric and would go with the red, it needs something a bit bold I think (although I am useless at matching up).
Great strap bet she is chuffed, and I love the colours of the wool you purchased. Feeding our hobbies might be expensive but oh how enjoyable to look at.
Have a great week ahead

Good morning, Jan!
What a lovely array of colors. I think I like the gray for the lining. very neutral with all the colors. Yellow was my second choice.

That rainbow fabric is yummy! Love it.
Belated Birthday Blessings. I think you'll have that yarn worked up in no time! LOL

I used to always love seeing what you have going on. I've started a quilt and am working on the blocks. It is an 8 point star and I love the colors but I'm not much of a seamstress these days so it is going slow. I'll be 74 this Fall so I really hope to get this finished before I die! LOL
Happy WOYWW!

Oh my goodness rainbows from heaven, love love love your post. Stripy rainbow fabric is FAB and so eye catching, will bring lots of people over to see the stall. Oh gosh?? Star liner, I think I'd go with the gold. Oh you should see the parasol my hubby got me from amazon!!! He didn't look at the dimentions!!! It's adorable but would only shade a melon! You have done a great job with the strap there. Ah Hobbycraft, I see you have one in Swansea, just put that on my list of local shops to visit, Croydon isn't too far away... Love all the yarns too, such a delight to the eyes, eye candy indeed. Hugs BJ#7

Hi Jan, I would love to have a parasol. Perhaps they will get popular with all the sun everywhere has been having - not us obviously although yesterday and today have been good. Love the peg bags and the wool colours. Angela #21
