 SO LONG, FAREWELL.....

But only for a couple of weeks - don't worry! I'm not the only one recharging the batteries....

I tell you what, the JanCave seems wrong without my machine at the end of the desk! He's gone to have a spa fortnight with a nice engineer and will come back rejuvenated *grin*

Before he went there was quite a bit of cutting and sewing as I tried to get ahead of things. I'd ordered some new fabric you see - well, stocks got a bit low, you know how it is...

From Fabric Giant, they had a good range of fabrics in the £3.99-£4.99 range - the bright tumbling blocks and feathers design came in extra wide which was a bonus. I'm trying to appeal to different tastes, it seems to be working as I had to refill the baskets in the cafe again this week!

But one in particular called to me so I didn't hang around and cut out some bags straight away:

It's a really lovely quality cotton too, I'm keeping one of these bags for myself!

I also spent a happy half hour rearranging the display board in the JanCave:

I look at this all the time when I'm pressing my quilts/bags etc and it really makes me happy - thank you Neet, Robyn and Kyla for your lovely artworks which arrived after my last post. A feast for the eyes and a reminder how Wednesday has become the most important day of the week!

Enjoy your crafting and I'll see you very soon xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Have a great holiday, all of you. Your new fabrics are looking lovely. I see your sewing machine has swapped a bucket and spade for a headband, swimsuit and towel round the neck sort of holiday. I hope it comes back as refreshed as you!
Take care and happy WOYWW

Love the new fabric. I so need to have my machine serviced, it's hard to shift the stitch width at all and seems full of fuzz... doesn't help I often sew on paper and card. DOH! Did you do a collect, repair, return, or something else? You will want to pop to my blog tomorrow, as I will be name-checking you :D But if you want a preview, Google KAWANDI. I have been obsessed, as it is the perfect sitting-in-the-sun with the cat in her pen task. Not as hot as woolly knitting either.
Happy Sunny WOYWW!

Enjoy yourselves and treat yourselves to a spa like the sewing machine is having (not sure about oiling parts though).
Some gorgeous fabric there ~Jan, you are a treasure with all your sewing and I am sure you brighten many a person's day with some of your work. The lifeboat station certainly benefited when you moved down there.
Hugs, Neet 1 xx (pure chance)

Yikes, late already despite posting early to try to avoid this very scenario! Have a fab holiday, it’s as though you’ve sent your machine to kennels!! Totally see why you like the tumbling block fabric, all that colour and graphic symmetry!!

Good morning, Jan!
Please tell me who sent the card - 2nd row from bottom - 3rd card from the left... the one with the heart & flower. I couldn't read the name on mine and no name on return post.

Love the collection of ATCs you've received and OMG... that dog fabric!!!! I love it! Hope your ATC from me arrives soon. Creative Blessings & Hugs! ~Kelly #16
