OOPS, I DID IT AGAIN....
It's going to be a super speedy whizz through my desk today - after not seeing Lynne and hubby for three years, they're back for the second time in a month (for a family funeral) closely followed by my nephew and his tribe. I had to buy more bedding!!
Lynne brought me boxes of fabric from a friend who’d been in fashion design, all silk and crepe de chine, I shall be having a good sort through!I may be some time, lol!
This is how the desk was a couple of days ago, I've used up all the FQs I was given.
Some finished, some partway through.
I received a Wool Warehouse order from my birthday gift voucher (thanks Rhys!)
I love these colours, they're going to be a blanket for me to snuggle under for later in the year - it's Aran weight on 5mm hooks so should work up quite quickly!
And some nautical FQs might have fallen into my basket on eBay the other day...
These should go ok in the cafe down the harbour!
That's it I'm afraid, I probably won't be visiting desks until the weekend so take care and have a crafty good week!

Wow, what an amazing amount of goodies from Lynne! Love the nautical fabrics too, they'll go a bomb! have a good week and take care. Helen #? xx
Oh my word-what a cornucopia of colour and pattern. Your makes are all well organised and enjoy stroking all that fabric! Too hot for me must now so not doing much making. Happy sewing when you get the time. Catriona
Well you’re just run off your feet! OOh err, boxes of silks will be fun to go through..does this mean you’ll be making up silk evening bags and purses? Patch them together into a great big piece of fabric and make a jacket…what fun! Have a super lovely time with your guests, esp the babies!! Xxx
What a fab haul from a fellow desker! Not at all overshadowing her visit, albeit for a sad reason. And I do love Simply Soft. didn't realize it was easily found in the UK! When I shift back to yarny things from paper things I may be tempted. Although my poor sewing room is overflowing at the moment, I just love the feel of it (hello? simply soft by name and nature, right?) so the temptation is strong.
have fun and Happy WOYWW
Determined to DO BETTER this week!

How lovely to go through boxes of fabric, you must be thrilled! Perhaps a patchwork silk skirt- that sounds very good to me :)
Yes, the boat fabric is very apt for the café. The wool is In beautiful colours. Happy WOYWW. Angela #6

Enjoy your week, Jan, well done on your fat quarter use up and they made up nicely, then the purchase of some more too! Love the nautical, very striking, as is the wool for your winter rug. Great to catch up with bloggers who bring pressies too in fabric, wonderful!

Gorgeous fabrics - ideal for the job and such lovely little makes. Good to get together with Lynne again and that silk will need a bit of stroking before you will dare to do anything with it! xx Jo
What a treasure to sort through! I'm sure you will find some awesome fabrics in there! Your desk looks so organized and tidy. I don't do hardly any sewing and my sewing table looks like a disaster! I love the fabrics that jumped into your E-Bay cart, they know a good home when they see one! Have a great week, Inky, Mittsy and Lindart #19
Oh my what a busy bunny you are. Love the little purses you make. I made a little one with a zip top in brown stripy fabric many years ago. It's just bank card size and my son commandeered it, just right for men's pockets. Amazing how useful they are aren't they. Super loads of fabrics, lots to keep you out of mischief along with the yarn. Can't ever see myself requiring a blanket though, not looking forward to the next heatwave at all....Yes I had a great time unpacking my parcels and sorting all my papers into collections and colours, didn't dare count them but way over 200 methinks. Yes really trying my best to help Tracey out. Defo win-win. BJ#1
Hi Jan, Bet you cannolt wait to rummage through those boxes.
Love the fabrics and wool. Think we will all need a knitted/crochet throw for the colder months with the cost of heating going up.
Have a lovely time with your friend and then family.
Happy WOYWW

Lovely pic to begin with! Lucky you with a box to rummage through. Lots of makes to come...I wonder what? Look forward to future posts. Hugs, Chrisx #17
Love those nautical fabrics and the yarn is gorgeous. Think we will al need a blanket - we won't be able to afford the heating! :-) Anne x 14
