 GET YOUR MOTOR RUNNIN'...

The above lyric is in reference to my sewing machine who has been in overdrive this week! A combo of events has meant that I needed to get some serious making under my belt.

Totes, peg bags, purses and cases cut out and ready to be ironed....

A basket of scraps - normally I don't keep much of this but I'm going to make keyrings from the leftovers.

Neet gifted me the lining fabric a good couple of years ago and it has been so useful for many things, I used the last final bits this week - thanks Neet!! This case is off to New Zealand.

I'd had a good old sort out and tidy and found the floral fabric that my friend Kim had passed on to me and thought I'd get that all cut out and finished too:

I couldn't decide which of the liners I liked best so it ended up being the top and bottom ones, three apiece.

Which do you prefer?

But it hasn't all been sewing in the JanCave over the Easter weekend, we decided we were happy staying at home pottering and so some gardening got done and coffee was drunk as well. Happy Days!

Hope you've had a good crafting week, sending hugs.

Hi Jan,

You have been a busy bee. Loving all the fabrtics. Thinki I like the darker spotted background with the pansy fabrtic, but the other looks good as well.

Glad you had a nice Easter at home.

Happy WOYWW

Gorgeous sewing as always Jan. I think we have all been enjoying the fab weather this week. Lots of time spent in the garden = less time in the sewing room ...but who cares? 😀😀😀😀

Beautiful sewing, Jan. I don’t normally like pink but it makes more of a contrast, I think. The hares are lovely.
Enjoy your beautiful garden!
Take care and happy WOYWW

You always look as though your motor is running while mine seems to have slowed down substantially, too much other stuff to think about at the moment. Loving all that gorgeous fabric and the results. I have actually made some space in the sewing room so that I can again get to the machines so you never know you might get to see that desk some time. Have a very happy woyww. Hugs, Angela x9x

Love both of the liners Jan - that fabric is lush - pity it is now all gone. It was good that you could make use of the decent weather over the Easter weekend too. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #10

I think you made a good choice with both of the oinings so hard to choose a favourite.
Love the hare fabric, how on earth did you manage to part with it?
The WI and the Lifeboats certainly got a good member when you moved down there - you are so good with your sewing in every way.

Would go with the purple lining, but they are both very pretty. Your table looks like a fabric stall with all those pretty colours. Happy WOYWW. Angela #13

Looks like you had 2 motors running, sewing machine and you! Great job! Love the rabbit case!
We stayed home on Easter, too, and grilled a couple small steaks. A very quiet day.
Have a wonderful week!

You asked what I do with my digital art and the answer is it depends. I was finding ink so expensive for my printer that a lot of stuff I didn’t print out unless I had a specific need for it. Now I have an ink subscription, printing is working out to be more affordable. So I find I am printing it out more. Most of what I do is designed with journals or cards in mind. I never send it to anybody unless it is in printed form. Have a great weekend x

Happy Belated WOYWW. I bet your garden is looking fabulous. We have got lots of grass growing (hubby is away until late Sunday and didn't have time to finish the lawn mowing yesterday, so I will be out with the mower later), and weeds - but not a lot of signs that our wildflower areas are bursting into life! You have definitely been busy with the sewing machine. Loving that corgi fabric. Out of the 2 spotty linings, I think I like the pink one best. Ali x #16
