 ALL KINDS OF EVERYTHING...

It's been a lovely week that's for sure - a real treat to have blue skies and sunshine after the biblical amounts of rain we experienced in early/mid February! It even shone on March 1st, St David's Day, the patron saint of Wales.

I've been pottering around again, haven't done a huge amount of crafting because I've been in the garden, tidying up after Winter - we even had coffee sitting outside the other day, blooming marvellous!

The JanCave has seen a bit of action, I found some more oddments of fabric to make into zipped bags. The wadding and contrasting lining has been organised but that's as far as I got!

The sewing can wait until the weather isn't as lovely!

A friend dropped off a few cards that she and a friend had made - Kim is a good crafter, she has a go at everything as well, a kindred spirit!
I'll use them for the WI ladies, I'm still sending out birthday cards even though we're not meeting at the moment.

I had another go at watercolour painting following various tutorials:
Just playing around!

Waste not, want not, lol!!

I also tried a CeeCeeCreations (YouTube) tutorial :
I think the 'foam' needs a bit more shadow but it was fairly simple (got to be for me to follow it!)

And a pretty And Finally from my brother who lives in Worcester:

Spring has Sprung eh?

Doug Silverwolf posted details of how to attend Shaz's funeral on Facebook but if you haven't seen them yet, please email me for the link and codes. I'm not sure if I want to post them on here as many non deskers read this and the viewing numbers are limited. Doug has posted here with details of how to give a donation in lieu of flowers.

Have a lovely week everyone xxxxxxxx

Wow, your cards are fabulous. You are doing some beautiful watercolours and the squared one is something to envy. It really is a classy card. I love the CeeCeeCreations piece you have done. I would be pleased if I did something like that and I am determined, if I remember after this mornings session, to look it up and have a go myself - I am so impressed by yours.
It is good to see you have the bags all lined up ready for sewing, I can imagine you enjoy the matching up of fabrics. As you say, there will be days you can spend indoors but after all the lockdown gloom it has been lovely to see the sunshine.
Have another great week
Hugs, Neet 12 xx

Good morning Jan
Lots of brightness on your post, it’s lovely and your painting is coming on a treat. The flowers remind me of artist Angie Lewin. If you google her you’ll see what I mean.
Thanks for the update from Doug.
Have a good week lovely lady

Oh look at all them crocussessesses, they are so pretty. Joan has a clump of the darkest purple that I’ve ever seen...I bet by the time I remember to take a picture of them that they’ll be over, they are great stayers are they. Must try harder! Got to agree about the weather, it’s bright but cold, but who cares, bright and dry is lovely. Off to see Mama this morning but think I may blow out cobwebs this avo by firing up the lawnmower. Glamour. Love your watercolours as you know, particularly the ones with added black pen, I think it’s so and then the CeeCee one...well it’s just gorgeous. I didn’t look at it thinking it needed shadow!!

The bags are lovely, very Jan, but oh my those watercolours are just stunning. I am determined to have a go at some point because yours are just so inspirational. I struggle to craft outside of my comfort zone and creating anything that is solely from me (no stamp, no stencil, no carefully cut paper motif) terrifies me and I pretty much suck at it. But you don't get better if you never try, right? I will follow your lead and be brave. One day.... :)

Happy desk hopping' day!

Oh my! Your watercolouring is so fabulous! I haven't tried again since last week's failed attempts. The water effect is stunning! I think we had a false spring and I may have got over excited with my seeds but it was lovely while it lasted. Hopefully it will be back in time for this weekend too. Hopefully not long till I can come and have a coffee in the garden with you! Stay safe and keep smiling, Lisa-Jane #7

Morning Jan. Firstly, yes please - as I don't do facebook, could you email me the links for the funeral, please. I have "attended" two other funerals this way recently - certainly different, but glad that I was able to "be there". Thanks.
My word - what a beautiful array of cards sent to you - and here was me, sitting here, thinking, I must get some cards sent off to Jan soon... my thought had been for WI or Lifeboat. Would you still like some?
Your watercolouring is beautiful. Great use of the finished pieces - they look really good. Well done. As for the watercolour of the water!!! Fabulous. It is so sunny and wet!
Take care of yourselves. God bless.

Hi Jan! First: I'm always impressed, the JanCave is always so tidy!! Shame on me, my desk is not cleared up like yours...good choice with the contrasting lining.
Lots of wonderful and pretty cards from your generously friends. And you do the "writing". The recipients will be happy!♥
Love your cards, and the trie - sea on the paper...I hear the sea rushing...
Thanks for the spring flowers!

Hi Jan, that beach watercolour is fabulous! The bags and linings are lovely too. I’m so glad we’ve had some decent weather, even if it’s now gone foggy here. We need the lift of spring. That field of crocuses is stunning.
Your tip for blogger seems to have worked as well; I haven’t been chucked out once yet 🤞🏻
Take care and happy WOYWW

I love your water colours Jan - they are fabulous and look so good as cards, although I would frame the one with 9 squares! Thank you for the link to donating for Shaz, I shall leave the funeral to people who met her irl as there is a limit to numbers.
Hope you have a good week,

It just occurred to be (Nessa accent of course) that you must have a gazillion zips in your stash to enable you to make all those adorable little bags - such is my brain! Love the watercolour cards you've made, this technique is so so effective. Still on my MUST TRY agenda.
Thanks for the visit BJ#13

Hello my lovely - oh hasn't the weather been just glorious!! I can't seem to get warm today though, just gone and found an extra layer to put on. It's started to rain and Hubby has just come in from the garden where he is attempting to rescue a trellis that has fallen foul of the winds and a very vigorous evergreen climber!! There's always something to do. I don't blame you being suspicious of all this wi fi nonsense - I mean, who is actually going to turn a washing machine or a tumble dryer on when you aren't there? I read an article last year about this though - did you know there is even an electric toothbrush you can connect to an app so it monitors how often you brush? Sounds like BB to me!! Have a great week, stay well stay safe, love n hugs, Cindy x #18

Jan, first off, THANK YOU so much for your stopover today!! Your lovely words of love and encouragement leapt off the page and warmed my heart!! You truly are so sweet!! I will take that massive hug and send you one right back!!! On to your post....LOVE the fabrics you pulled out. My absolute fave is the Asian looking fabric! It's gorge! I love anything to do with the orient, so it really spoke to me! What a stash of beautiful cards! How special that the WI ladies receive handmade cards! It makes all the difference!! I think you are spot on with your watercolours! I will do a CeeCee tutorial every now and again as well! I love her, her arty style and her voice just calms you as you watch her videos. She's great! Your go's made lovely cards as well! Just beautiful! The photo is absolutely gorgeous! Makes me so jealous! We don't have flowers growing here like that, so what a sight it would be on a gorgeous day like that! It just needs someone having a picnic, then it would be complete! LOL Thanks again for stopping in and for the record, I miss my Wednesday pals as well when I don't make it by! Blessings to you Jan! Felicia #26

It has been a bit cold to sit out in the garden here, but I would be happy to sit outside if I could have visitors in the garden :). Have a great week Angela #17

I always love to see your bright and airy Jan Cave and all the pretty fabrics, Jan. Your watercolours.... they are simply amazing and I love them all. Ceecee is fabulous, isn't she. I love what you've done with them, as well. What a great lot of cards from your friend. What a gorgeous photo of all the crocuses. I always feel better when I see the first spring flowers emerging. We've got lots more daffs and primroses out now.

I am not on Facebook so can't access Doug's details - could you please email them to me? You've got my address.

Thank you for your visit - I agree with you about blocking. It's always worth taking the time and trouble to do it. I'm glad you liked my Celtic card, too.

Hi Jan, glad to hear you were also able to get out in the garden and enjoy the weather. I always feel better when I can spend some time out there. Having said that the JanCave looks lovely and sunny, so I wouldn't mind spending my time in there. My craft room must face the wrong way, as it's always dark in the morning. I love all your cheery fabrics too, I think I need a proper declutter and just keep cheery looking things lol. A few cards??? I think thats quite a haul - how lovely of your friends. The watercolours look great. I've watched a few CeeCee tutorials- her work is great, and even I can follow it! Have a lovely week, Heather xx #25

Hello, dear friend. Thank you for visiting last week. I'm slow, but I'm here. Lovely watercolors. I'd say your 'having a go' was quite successful! Love the crocus. Mine haven't popped yet but the daffodils are blooming. I haven't had time to get out in the garden. I'm thinking that will be a weekend project as Bob gets home Wed. Hugs! Kelly #27
