ALL YOU CAN DO IS STEP BACK IN TIME...

How lovely to be linking up with all the crafty deskers at WOYWW again this week - I really enjoy seeing what everyone's up to, it's great to have an excuse to be nosy!!

I have to apologise because I seem to have shared the same things for weeks on end but that's just how life is at the moment. I'd stocked up the RNLI box two weeks ago and had Laura, the cafe owner, messaging me yesterday that nearly everything had gone! Yay *happy dance* but it means that I'm making more of the same!

I shall start with some happy mail however - Twiglet, bless her, came to my rescue with some elastic supplies! It arrived with a beautiful Tilly Teadance card and postcard which are both in prime position on the JanCave shelves now. Thank you so much Jo, you're a star!

It's often been mentioned how tidy my desk is - I think when I'm cutting out lots of stuff, it sort of has to be (plus I'm a bit OCD......)

But not yesterday:

Fabrics, templates, a shirt to be ironed, Aida to be cut out and that pencil need sharpening! Talk about trying to do too many things at once....

You know that mad purple fabric I showed last week - I have fallen in love with it especially because I knew I had a lime green spot that would complement it well.

I'm in love! I was making this for the cafe stocks but it's staying with me, mwahahahaha....

It's so loud - I LOVE it!!

A matching set - it will give me joy each time I use it!

And as for the lyrics today, this fab number from the divine Kylie Minogue has been my ear worm this week. So get your gold lame hot pants and platform boots on, click HERE and have a boogie around the kitchen/craft room.
Remember the old dayyyyyyyyssssss.......

Have a great week all you disco queens!

Happy WOYWW. I don't blame you for keeping that set. When I do manage to sew anything successfully, I also keep it! I have signed up to a class with patterns for creating easy zipped cases, and now looking for a cheapish but strong sewing machine. So many places have sold out, or only have expensive machines that have too many features for me. A cold and damp morning in Pembrokeshire, so planning to keep in my craft room as much as possible (once meetings and housework is done). Ali x #5

Love that fabric combo - would have been good for the guy's shirt in that video!! For some reason I can't see the Mr Linky for Julia's post - could you confirm it's working OK today and it's just me? Weird. Blogger strikes again. Love the Tilly goodies, lucky girl. Ha! I've got the tidy desk this week. Stay well stay safe, Cindy #well I haven't got one......

I am not clicking on that link, I do not need that as ear-worm and just reading the title has sort of started it already! We watched Mama Mia 2 at the weekend and I’ve still got one of those tracks messing in my head, so I can’t deal with Kylie as well!! Thrilled that the cafe and your basket is getting such strong trade. Don’t forget that people like me start to look for their Christmas fabric glasses cases and things about now, easy for the bag changeover!!

I fell off my platform boots and my gold hot pants ripped as I squeezed into them but I'm still dancing!! I love the matching set Jan - that purple really pops doesn't it - scrumptious colour. Glad your little parcel made you smile. I have delved into my chunky yarn - it's lovely to have plenty to go at!!! xx Jo

I could not link up, but have time now so just bopping around. Love the colors of your fabric I need bright and cheery. Really dreary and cold here. Even turned on the furnace, hubby is in long jeans (unheard of this time of the year). Snow in States west of us. 2020 have been crazy in every way
Oh Tilly's art is so special. Love these 2 pieces. Great colors. I'd say they are special "Little Treasures" for sure. Enjoy a good week Stay Safe.

Great zingy fabric - no wonder you fell in love with it yourself. Plus how you can say your desk is boring i will never know, it is far from boring - you have a gorgeous array of fabrics for us to marvel at each week and you make the most beautiful goodies for sale at your RNLI shop.
right, off for a boogies with Kylie.
Hugs, Neet xx no number all gone

Oh my,Jan! I hurt just watching this video!

Don’t come to my house! Everything from the room with the leak is piled all over! The insurance adjuster has been here, but don’t know if they will do anything or if we are on own to find and fix it. In the meantime, living out of a lot of boxes!

Made the two Christmas cards, that’s all, so no post from me.

Stay safe as I picture you and Julia dancing! I’d fall off those boots!

Happy Wednesday!

Kathryn

Hi Jan, I absolutely love the mad purple fabric with the green. It is so you! Well done on the sales at RNLI - it really is a worthwhile cause, and must feel great to be raising funds, doing something you love. If I had some good lame hotpants I would put them on now, sadly I don't.... have a lovely week, and take care, Heather xx #14

So nice to see you making something lovely for yourself for a change, Jan! The fabric is very 60s and yes, it's loud all right! It goes a treat with the green spotty stuff too. A lovely little set you've made.

Thank you for visiting, and as I have progressed with my variegated background a bit more today, I'm liking it more and more, and am very glad I made that choice. As you say, it has much more life than a flat colour. The peacock shawl is going to have to wait for a while because I've simply GOT to be self-disciplined and finish some more UFOs before embarking on that project! I've got some really grand ideas for it and I hope it's going to result in a pretty spectacular garment, but we shall see! Got to finish the purple circles jumper first, and re-alter the Islamic tiles jumper's waistband as I'm not happy with that... And I have to finish my tiny carpets project because people are waiting for their needle books! The peacock shawl is going to be a bit of a challenge, I think, because the pattern looks pretty complicated. I shall have to work on it when my hubby is out because if he keeps talking to me he'll put me off lol!!

Happy WOYWW,

Now that made me smile when you said you think you have OCD. My hubby says that's what I have Obsessive Crafting Disorder Lol! He thinks he's funny! Gorgeous fabric combo, love them. Wishing you a very happy woyww, Angela Xnow 13X

Hi Jan, I'm so glad your keeping that lovely set for yourself - that fabric combination is wonderful and, well, you deserve it! So kind of Twiglet to send emergency supplies of elastic ... what would a lady do without elastic. The cards are stunning too. Iv'e been following your cross stitching. Those tiny pieces are beautiful - they so remind me of the work of Sonia Lyne - do you know her work? She's published a book full of tiny stitched works of art. Hugs, Elizabeth x #23

Hello Jan! Your desk never bores me. I too, have much of the same on my desk week to week. But it's never boring to see your stash and repeat projects. It's inspiring to see how much you create and then they sell out and you make more. I am praying I will have that lovely "dilemma" when I re-open my shop. I pray people will buy the products and I will have the opportunity to work on restocking. I also love looking at the variety of fabrics you use. So keep it coming. Today, I still have stuff to sort out and donate from the guest room clear out (blah) but I intend to get it done today so the stress won't loom over me. The weather is of course gloomy today to match my mood when I look at all that stuff. But I do have a bright spot, I have a date with my book I recently started so I will have a little me time today. Have a wonderful weekend my friend!
