GOT A SECRET, CAN YOU KEEP IT?

It's a weird one this week, I've done a fair bit of crafting but can't show any of it as it's for the 10th Anniversary and Crop!

So this is what's on the desk now, after all the Secret Items have been removed, lol!  The white stuff is 4 metres of fusible fleece, I do use it a lot and can only find it online at Fabricland - as their postage is pricey, I tend to order in bulk.

After thinking hard about the patchwork, I decided to make sunglasses cases out of them as they will sell and cushion covers probably won't.

And the squares were almost exactly the right size for the template - woohoo!

I'm also using up lots of other scraps that were cut out a couple of weeks ago!

And that's it! Incredibly short and sweet today. But I'll leave you with one of G's images that lots of people in the Photography Society admired but didn't vote for in the competition - work that one out!

It's all about tones and shapes - I love it! The beach is Newport on the Cardigan Bay. It would make a fabulously tricky jigsaw, don't you think?!

I hope to be a better responder to comments than I was last week - forgive me if I didn't get back to you, life just took over!

Hope you have a cracking week xxxxxx

I love G's photo and would have voted for it! Don't fancy it as a jigsaw though, no!! Such a tease you are this week with your secrets! Helen #?

Stunning photo there G - definitely a an award winner I think! I've never tried fusible fleece but Annie says it's good too so I must give it a try. Love all the fabrics. (G is away so I am up early with a coffee having a quick snoop round a few desks!)xx Jo

Happy WOYWW. Loving the cases. They will sell quickly. You should get some of G's photos made up into jigsaws - they would be fabulous gifts (or perhaps you can sell them for charity?). Ali x #12

I agree about the cushion covers....little things that cost relatively small amounts - anything that has to be considered a bot more is usually a ‘think about it’ which means they don’t buy. You know I love Ordon’s pic and certainly will never get over the subjective scoring, but also, why bother ‘admiring’ something and then not voting for it?what a wind up! Good job Gordon’s more lugubrious than I!!

Oops, that would be one heck of a tricky jigsaw - better as a picture on the wall. It is gorgeous and I love the tones and shapes G captured.
Oh dear, I had better get making something for the Crop although at the moment I am not sure I am going to be able to get there. Fingers and everything crossed.
Love your spectacle cases, those should sell like crazy.
Hugs, Neet 1 xx

Perfect glasses cases Jan. Is your fuseable fleece iron on sticky on both sides? I bought something similar from Watson and Thornton's and have enjoyed using it for my book cover.....might be worth a trip there while your'e in the area ;-)

I love those fabrics, Jan. Fusable fleece isn't something I've come across before and wouldn't know where to start with it... That photo of Cardigan Bay is absolutely stunning - a real winner if I ever saw one! Full of atmosphere. Thank you for your visit and I'm glad you like my slippers! They are not finished yet but at least I'm making progress. It's pretty slow with the curved needle but there's no other way unfortunately. So far I haven't had any trouble from the kitties with them. These days they are far too lazy. They have their romps in the garden and apart from that and eating, they seem to spend most of the time asleep on the cat tree!

Hiya Jan, I have to get my a** in gear and get some ATC's made.Lovely fabrics, and yes glasses cases are really useful, mine keeps my reading glasses in my die cutting area from getting buried or going walkies! The Yupo paper is not 'real' paper at all, it's a synthetic plastic-like paper, which is great for things like the Alcohol inks, as they don't sink in to the surface, so you get loads of amazing patterns by moving the ink around. I might actually bring this to the crop to do. :) Love & Hugs to you all, Shaz XxXXXxx #4

I was very bad with my commenting last week. I think we all have weeks like that. It is called life. I think that is a beautiful, very atmospheric photo and definitely needs signing, framing and hanging on the wall for all to see. xxx Maggie (Silvercrafter) #5

I got caught up on your posts I think. WOW such great fun photos. Love the colors you are using on this project. Can't wait for the ATC exchange, but I am running way behind from my travels. Mom isn't good so lots of precious time with her. Have a Happy WOYWW.

Hi Jan, life takes over me all the time - we do what we can, when we can! And aren't you the tease ... can't wait to see what you are hiding from us. Love G's photo and, no, I can't figure why it wasn't voted for either. I'm sure there are jigsaw buffs out there that would love that - it would probably take me forever to finish it though. Have you thought of using ordinary fleece, which is possibly easier to source, and use fabric glue spray instead - just a thought which might not be any more practical. I can't believe I have more fabric stash than you - surely not!!! Not long now till we meet again. Hugs, Elizabeth x #26

If I had more than one pair of glasses I'd buy one of those like a shot Jan. Mine are permanently on my face (otherwise I'm as blind as a bat lol). Happy WOYWW. Sarah #2

Oh my! A jigsaw from that beautiful photograph? It is lovely, but I think it would drive a sane person mad! Wish I could make it to the crop. I hope you post your crafties after. Have a good week!

I typed you a big old reply that made my grin... and it ate it... so, this is a test post.

So anyways, what I told you the first time around is... I love that shot, and I could stare at the textures for a good long while but, I think I would whimper if someone gave it to me as a puzzle. ~Stacy #31

You are all so busy!! I'm looking forward to seeing what secrets you've been busying yourself with. Your so neat with your sewing, I love sewing but neat edges and straight lines take up too much of my time... Wonky is my middle name. Hubbies photo is a stunner, such a shame on those votes. It would make a fab postcard. Happy WoywW Tracey #33 << I know i'm late x

Once again loving your ideas for little things like glasses cases! Just like Glenda, my sewing machine is gathering dust - although I do use it to sew pouches for my unmounted stamps! Thanks for your visit, have a great week! Lindart #30

I am amazed that you STILL have that patterned fabric (the 'maritime' prints: boats and lighthouses.) You must have had a big pile/piece of it as I saw you use it several times already.. and it sure IS gorgeous! So fresh, light, summery and bright! I love the photo your hubs took, it's almost abstract! Thanks for stopping by my blog the other day, hope you have a nice Friday/weekend. Hug from Holland. Marit #19
