WOYWW 450 (150x3, 50x9, 90x5, 30x15, 45x10, 450x1, gosh, this is a good number to play with!!)

AN ACT OF KINDNESS IS WHAT YOU SHOW TO ME....

Sorry about breaking your heads with the WOYWW number in the title today!! Please feel free to add some more number calculations, I love 'em :-D

The song lyric today reflects the wonderful and generous nature of our lovely deskers! I became birthday card organiser for my WI recently (another thing I got 'volunteered' for...!) and wanted to cut down the cost of buying them. So Julia passed on some card blanks to me, then Shaz Silverwolf gave me some of the results of her clear-out and much much more:

Opening the jiffy bag was great fun but my goodness Shaz, you were generous, thank you so much for the thoughtful colour selections, something to please everybody. I'd better get some glue.....:-D  And the lovely Annie C said she'll post me some of her stash clearout too - wonderful and thank you so much. It will all be used!! Watch this space.....

My stash clearout continues too:

It's no good having fabric sit in the wardrobe huh? So I've got some out to have a little play with and see if I can pass some RAK love on into the universe.

Soft tones but nice to work with.

The knitting has continued too:

I've had this wool for AGES but never knew what to make with it. Then I found a Half Fisherman's Rib pattern (though which half I'll leave to your imagination!) It's easy to do, the perfect TV crafting.

Hope you have a wonderful week everyone and enjoy your crafting xxxxxxxxx

Love that wool - beautiful... you look as if you are being very creative.. or about to be! I love the hare fabric, and all those goodies from Shaz for your WI cards. I have started a clear out but not on my craft stash as such yet... Helen #?

That wool is gorgeous and all the goodies look so interesting. I am not a card maker though, apart from the fact that glue and I do not sit well together I dare not jump down that particular rabbit hole. I might not make it back out.

Love the colours in that yarn Jan. What a super haul from Shaz - you are going to have fun with that lot.
I seem to have done much more knitting & crochet recently and my papercrafts are being sadly neglected - I already have four sets of snoods & fingerless mitts ready for gifts next Christmas. Let's see how well I can maintain the momentum LOL

Morning Jan. Goodness - what a fantastic parcel to unwrap! Do enjoy playing with everything!!! Glorious fabric - love that hare pattern. I quite agree - a bit of TV knitting. I'm currently doing myself a sweater in front of the tv - join all the bits together and knit a yoke... nearly there now - only the decreasing at the top - that's what happens when the TV companies put on such a good mix of murder mysteries...!!!
Take care. God bless.

Hi Jan, I'm sure you and the WI ladies will have great fun making cards. I love the colours on your knitting. I have vague memories of my mother trying to teach me how to knit and crochet, but I think she eventually gave it up as a lost cause! Have a lovely week Heather #17

Happy WOYWW. Great pile of stash to work with there. Perhaps I will make it to your's one day. I can bring glue and help you put cards together! Loving that fabric - and the knitting is gorgeous. I do miss knitting in front of the tv. I only ever made simple things like scarves/dog coats. Ali x #22

That wool is fab - great colour combo. The pattern looks tricky though! Now, looking at all that card making stash, makes me think you are changing direction into the dark art of card making!! I am sure you will make a great job of it Jan. xx Jo

What a lovely collection of bits - I'm sure some stunning cards will be made. I said 'Oooh' out loud when I saw that beautiful fabric with the hares on, and how you had teamed it up with the equally gorgeous pinstripe - my favourite colour palette! Where on earth do you find these exquisite fabrics!
Hope you have a great week,
Hugs,

The craft-community is indeed very sweet and generous, you received beautiful 'thingies'! I love the knitting and the colors, make my fingers itch to start knitting (or crochet) again in the evenings - my hubby and I watch Scandinavian crime series lately and I love it, would be nice to knit a sweater while watching it... I might dive into the closet today to see what wool lies left there. Thanks for visiting my blog today, love from stormy Holland, Marit #22

Hiya Jan, glad they arrived safely, and that they'll do the job. :) Sounds like you'll soon be knee deep in 'stuff' too! Love the hare fabric, and I see some lovely muted tones in the box too. Lovely colours in that wool, isn't it amazing how such apparently random colours blend together so well? Love and hugs to you both, XxXx

Hi Jan, gorgeous wool. Interesting half rib pattern too. I've just finished a rib hat but forgot to put a pic on this week's post. The hare patterned fabric is lovely and the stripe is a good match. Methinks you might need some patterned paper pads to go with those goodies from Shaz so, as I'm going through my stash, I'll select a few for you. Expect some in the post in a week or two. Have a great week. Hugs, Elizabeth x #36

Some beautiful stuff from Shaz there and I'm so excited that you're getting into cardmaking, even if you were "volunteered" for it LOL! Great factoring of 450 - I would add 2 X 225 - such nice numbers - now that I'm home tutoring my son, I had to refresh my high school maths knowledge and I actually find it quite interesting - I never found it interesting back then, nor was I particularly good at it. Loving the colours in that wool - pink and green is always a winning combination! Thank you for visiting earlier, Jan! Happy belated WOYWW! zsuzsa #19
