HAVE YOURSELF A MERRY LITTLE CHRISTMAS....

Well, it's the final run up to Christmas - only two more jobs left to do with band and then the coast is clear!  The desk is covered but not in crafting....

You may be wondering who's going to receive that sledgehammer? Well, that would be telling - suffice to say it's not one of the adults :-D

A little alteration took place though not involving fabric:
I found these sticky on bling letters whilst being dragged around The Range by Herself...they're not stuck on very straight but I don't care, they're on the end of the machine so not in my line of vision!

And that's it for today - I'll leave you with some Christmassy shots! My lovely table decoration sent to me by my niece Emma a few years back. It makes me smile each time it resurfaces every December.

And my little Christmas forest with some very precious handmade items that remind me of deskers old and new.

Thank you for being mad enough to have read my blog throughout the year (it's been 12 months of ups and downs, that's for sure), I really appreciate your support and friendship more than I can say. I'd like to wish you a very Merry Christmas and peace, health and happiness for 2017.

By the way - that isn't a sledgehammer for the youngest member of our family but of course, I can't reveal it yet!!  And that banana sign from last week? Of course I knew what it was all about, I just wanted to tease and bamboozle you (it worked, lol!!)  The Bananas in question are small banana-shaped boats in which you sit your toddler before taking to the ice rink at the Winchester Christmas Fair!  It just made me and G laugh ouR socks off, hopefully you did too!

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!

  5. Hi Jan, Loving the bling on your sewing machine.

I'm guessing that the sledgehammer is in fact a drumstick???

Hope you have a lovely Christmas.

  8. Hiya Jan, oh my, that tree forest is awesome. The wood carved one is magnificent. Lovely centrepiece, perfect. Laughed at the hammer- reminded me of the shots of Owen destroying the old bathroom! Have I perhaps hit the nail on the head? -See what I did there? rofl. The bling on the sewing machine is ace, very you. Happy Christmas, hoping it's as fun and peaceful as possible. Lots of love & hugs from the two of us, Shaz xxxx

  9. That's a lovely way to personalize your sewing machine! Love all your Christmas decor - very stylish! Now I really want to know what's in that hammer shaped parcel, if it's not a sledge hammer! I thought the packaging didn't leave much to the imagination, until you threw a curve ball! Perhaps I'll find out next week! Wishing you a Very Merry Christmas Jan and nothing but ups followed by ups for 2017! zsuzsa #20

  10. Back with you all again, Jan.........at last. It's so good to be here. Love your blingy machine and there are some very interesting pressies wrapped there, I still have mine to do. A job for today I think. Your trees are beautiful. The best thing about Xmas is getting out all those treasured things sometimes isn't it, Makes us remember friends and family who gave them to us.
I hope you all have a brilliant Christmas and here's to an exciting 2017 for you all. Love from all of us.

  11. Hi Jan. Thanks for visiting already - and sorry to have worried you. Life did indeed get a bit crazy - but it was so lovely to be able to visit some folk I haven't seen for several years because their homes weren't suitable for John... Sad reason, but good to meet the folk again.
Love your little tree forest and your table decoration!! It is fun getting these things out of the attic/cupboard/under the stairs and remembering who gave us them. But then, I am actually a Christmasaholic!
Take care. Happy Christmas to you both. Thanks again for your hospitality. God bless.

  18. Love your bling I put mine on my walking stick when I had a new hip. Nothing wrong with a bit of bling. Your table decoration is nearly the same as one I have, just replace the candle every year.
    Have a good weekend.

  25. Hi Jan, love how you personalized of your machine and those trees are just neat. I have no clue what the gift is but, that is fun that it is not a box shape for them to open. Thanks for the earlier visit, and I hope you have a beautiful Christmas too :) ~Stacy #31

  26. Thank YOU for all the support you have given to me - and the friendship. Strange that we have not met yet it feels as if we have. If such is the power of the internet then it has to be a good thing doesn't it. Of course in our case it is all down to Julia, what a wonderful idea she had and what a lovely woman she is for doing it and keeping it going.
Love your photos, your forest, table decoration and the sewing machine. I think the letters look straight enough for me but then I am a 'wonky crafter'. Keep them on, the machine looks great!
Wishing you Gordon and the family all the best for the Christmas Season and wishing you all a Very Happy New Year.
`Hugs, Neet (thanks for visiting me the other day)
