SPRING HAS SPRUNG,
THE GRASS HAS RIZ
I WONDER WHERE DEM BIRDIES IZ.
DER BIRDS ARE ON DER WING.
BUT THAT'S ABSURD,
SURELY DER WINGS ARE ON DER BIRD?
(Spike Milligan)
Sorry, normal service will be resumed as quickly as possible.... hang on, what am I talking about, it's never normal here!!
Slight hysteria is setting in, dear bloggy pals of mine. I don't know whether it's the sap rising or Julia's hormone-ity that's rubbed off, but I'm definitely feeling a bit hoppity skippity!!
Anyhow..the desk..
I'm making a carrier bag tube for my friend who ordered the table runner that I was making last week. It's easy to make but I hate threading the elastic through  - daft really as it's a simple job, but one I loathe doing!!
I've been cutting the cupcake fabric to make an apron for two commissions, there was enough left over to cut out a peg bag and messenger bag as well.
Here's the finished peg bag..
It's a pretty, fresh fabric, isn't it?  I bought the blue and white spotty material in Fabricland last week and have used pretty much all of it already - but there's still the other two colours left..
They're only poly-cottons but are lovely soft tones that will be brilliant for lining bags and apron strings etc.  I'm going to have to get some more blue though!!
I finally got around to setting up my blogshop - after much 'encouragement' from Julia. If you'd like a peek, then please click here. All visitors welcome :)

As the poem says, Spring has most definitely sprung in my garden. My tree is bee-yoo-ti-ful...
All you can hear are bees buzzing around in the blossom - gorgeous!!

And finally...Julia has often said I should find another profession...
Do you think there's much call for S&M ice cream in the area???? lol...... You see, definitely too much hormone-ity  :D xx
Have a fab week!

SAGE tablets, go to a health food shop now and buy them
Really do it, It took me one tablet daily for a week and now , finally, I can get some sleep ( and dream) , - it is miraculous,

I also feel less insane (slightly)

not that I am old enough for the horropause or anything (see I read every comment and like a hormonal terriorist I snoop and comment...

or should it that be swoop and comment?

Do like your advertising - so are we to believe you are taking up the oldest profession as per Mrs D's suggestion?

I tell you what, if a person can love a peg beg then I do. My 'Mr Tumble' one always makes me smile, even more when It's outside swinging on the line. Means the sun is shining and I wont have washing draped all over the house. But I loves my bag the most. I swear it's a tardis. Don't know how I got on without it before!

S&M ice-cream - I bet that'd be a right hit!

Love the cupcake fabric. Never seen an ice cream van like that before, do you have to lick slow as well?? You lucky thing having spring, it's been freezing here (we are in autumn), went down to 15 deg last night and I froze. Have to get the winter jammies out. Have you noticed that you never get a hot flush when you need one.
Have a great week.

Jan, thanks so much for looking around my blogs! I love listening to my son sing, so I keep a link to his songs. Yes, I also love tinwhistle and fiddle music. Star of the County Down is a song I was practicing on the tinwhistle, but I put that aside a while back and haven't gotten back to it. I'm just a beginner, but my whistles are on my dresser to remind me to return to practice "someday". Meanwhile, I love to listen to those who are really good at playing, lol! Thanks again for visiting!

Whoa! Dude! Send some of that manic energy my way! I surely could use it. I totally giggled at the hormone-ity word, although isn't that the name of that girl in the Harry Potter books/movies? I love that cupcake fabric and it makes the best apron! Fun spotty material too. S&M ice cream? Goodness! My hubby and I giggle at ice cream vans, we went to different high schools and both our experiences show they sell cigarettes and drugs too. No profit in ice cream I guess.

LLJ,
Thanks for the conversion. Yes, I'd like one of you totes. I'll have to go over and see which one. Most likely the end of the week.

Also, did you ask about seed stitch? When I seed stitch I cast on an odd number of stitches then you knit every row the same --
Knit, perl, knit, perl until the end of row. Same thing every row -- just make sure you start out with an odd number otherwise it will be skinny ribbing.

Hugs,
Kay

Our blossom is just starting to open properly, but then we are a bit further north than you, so probably a couple of weeks behind. You do seem to find the really good material. We don't even have a shop locally selling material, so we need to travel or buy online - and I like to feel the quality of material before buying. Thanks for your visit this week and lovely comments on my card. have a good week, and enjoy your walks along the canal. xx Maggie #2
